There's a scene where Carl is holding Russell on a string out the window of his house while floating above tall buildings. Then all of a sudden Carl drops him and then suddenly he's back in the house alive. How did he survive that fall? They never show it! That might be a small nitpick but still, I think when someone falls from a high distance, they die!

By the way, Lotso has a cameo appearance. It looks like they already planned on making Toy Story 3 with Lotso when they planned on making this movie.

@absolvscharizard Yeah, the lotso cameo is cool, although they must have been well into animating Toy Story 3 by the time Up cam out, which means it's pretty simple to just add in the Lotso model to that 3 second segment reasonably late in development.

But it's nice that it kinda creates a sense of a Pixar Universe.

I saw it twice; I took my co-worker who recently lost her mom.... The film helped her recognize that excuses are what they are because we choose to use them until we admit we're ready to move on and do the damn thing already. I also liked the fact that it showed seniors in a heroic light, often seniors are seen as weak/useless. Great grand/grand-child movie. My concern, will all upcoming animations be in 3-D? We pay $12.50 in NYC as it is, add on $3.00 for the glasses? What gives?

@Sven2Perroy crying doesn't mean you are gay, crying means you are a human. Crying means that we are still humans; feel and sense. So, when you have a chance to to cry, don't resist. and I will give you a precious advice "When you cry, pray to the God the creator (not to the one you already worship but to whatever the creator) to guide you to the truth". because soles are very delicate and clear and clean when crying. So, crying doesn't mean you are gay.

Meh, personally I might not want to see this one. But I'm sure it will do well for younger audiences and families.

I really would like to see Pixar do a more "serious" toned animated movie, something along the lines of Titan A.E. or Battle for Terra, one that has a lot of action and fighting, yet still appeals to most families or kids (Kids 11-12 and up). Although, its a far cry that probably won't be heard by them for years.

You wont believe me! I have just saw Toy Story 2 and I found a cameo of the movie UP (YES!).Maybe is or not, it depends on you. Theres a part when the guy are entering to the building to save woody and then the real Buzz hear them and go search for them....and then is another scene that start with a box that says "This way Up". The "up" letters where in a House... It means.....(Well you know this movie is about a house that flies) SO YOU MUST SEE IT!

That's what I assumed, but look at the trailer again. At 0.51 we get a good look at the porch when it leaves the ground and he is clearly no where to be seen.

My guess: He snuck into the house without Carl's permission for some reason and was inside when it took off. Having not known about Carl's plan to take to the skies he tries to sneak out of the house only to discover the thing had risen hundreds of feet into the sky already.
