Americans do as much "fake" stuff as this, just in different areas. What about "Extreme Makeover"? They usually fix their teeth and skin, lose weight, and do hair color. Japanese just do other places bc they usually already have nice skin and good teeth. So it's just a different kind of "fake" but not more than Americans.

many of the models are extensions, her hair is usually really short. in some of the photos can be viewed as the extensions are attached to her real hair.
