Wow! I really like the DDeck! You should do a Heart Will Go On full cover on that one. I always knew it was real (and am amazed by your talent), and I respect you for calmly answering to those who can't handle your talent.
You don't have to proof it, that it's real, I believe you! Everyone who does say its fake, let them do it. I have seen many video's about the Electone. I wish i could play like that, but i can't play at all. So please continu performing like that. And don't care what others say!
I notice the FS-300's are not selling for much. In fact there is an FS-300 in Dayton, OH today ( 11-11-10) for only $150! That seems insanely cheap considering it cost thousands new. Okay, I am an old Electone fan and I have had a few organs come and go, but I will never part with my transistor Electone B4cr from 1972-3. The organ is small enough to throw in the back of a small station wagon ( what are those, I know). The B4cr has a Leslie built in, drums with a vol/bal, reverb, hdph.,& 13 pedals
great video. I have owned the HX1 what a machine. Regret its sale. On the bright side have an FS30 now....... I too have a soft spot for the F series Which was my learning work horse. Played FX20 during 1983 Electone Festival. Have been toying with the idea or buying either a d-deck, tyros or shipping a stagea.....
the FS-70 it s a beautiful instrument but i love the sound the D-Deck.......personely i have a PSR-s910 keyboard from YAMAHA and i love it......anyway you play so good :) (excuse my anglish)
I have a Yamaha FX-20, It does not sound all that good. Have you ever hook your Fx to a leslie speaker. If not, then do so and use the organ tones thru the leslie. I think you would be amazed.
fuck all of them bro, you are good and i like the way you play, i musts suggest the piano splitter so you can do different types of "sounds". i dont know the correct term, but again exelent bro
Yeah I can see why there is some confusion. Your performances are not false. You are not using multi-tracking, so the sound is coming from what you do with your fingers and feet, and the registration changes are activated by your knee or fingers.
Linguistically though, all musical performances are fake. Fake means spruced up by artificial means. The latin equivalent of fake is artificial (done by craft/hand), as a result of learning, practice. There is nothing wrong with fake.
I still feel that the F series of electones has a warmer sound and has a large sound. It does not need amplification. The problem of yamaha electones it could not get a very good string ensemble and also solo violin and solo cello. You have to edit the sound.
I have a soft spot for the F-Series. Firstly because I learned to play on these instruments. Secondly, it was the last Electone series that you can sit down and play with absolutely no programming. I also agree that the build quality was far superior to the H-Series, although I think Yamaha partially redeemed itself with the EL-Series (but not fully). I currently play the FS-70 more than my HX-1 or D-Deck.
I'm so envious of your music room! And you have mad electone skills!
I can't imagine how anyone could have think the performance is fake. It's as real as it can be. Can imagine the number of hours put in to put up a flawless live performance.
Fair point. I initially recorded this to demonstrate that the performance is real. For a true comparison between the instruments, I should have played the chorus on all three with the best sound each could muster. The HX was indeed "cheated" in this case. That's kind of ironic, since I actually prefer the HX's "big" sound over the other instruments for this song.
I'm not too fussed by the -ive comments. I did however want to let the music illustrate how misguided they are. I would have liked to shoot the vid. in one long take, but I was embarrassed at putting shots of my unkept house on YouTube ;-).
The instrument comparison is interesting. The FS-70 was around $14,000AU in 1983. The D-Deck cost less than half that to get into my house in 2007. The 20 years in technology different is pretty stark. I still like the F-Series though.
Hello, friend! its pretty cool video congratulations, fantastic beautiful music. Big hug and be with God. Juvenile .... Att.

Wow...what a sudden huge difference in sound as you moved from FS-70 to D-Deck !!
By the way, my videos got some visits from some clever clogs as well with their bloody stupid comments :-)
Don't get yourself bothered by those smarty pants. Simply ignore them cause they merely show their incompetency.
Thank's for posting this extremely rare comparison between the great Electone models.
