Tell me how you like your Knuckles compared to your other Vanillas. I bought a Black Freestyle that took the place of my Sure Grip Rebel Fugitives. They are extremely hard to get used to since they have no heel and my rebels do, my balance is all wacked out. Is there anything I can do to make it easier to get used to them, I don't want to have to sell them since no one on my league has that kind of money?
Thinking myself of going out for derby alot lately. Already bought my brain bucket and mouth guard. Have been extensively lookin at the vanillas & the vandals but am most likely gonna start off with something else til i see if I'm gonna stick it out. Wanting a stitched boot over glued tho. Any thoughts?
@dansingnancies hmmmm You could just get a knuckle with a cheaper plate and all that stuff on it until you are sure. That way you can keep the boot and just upgrade your plate. There are not many stitched boots bellow the knuckle packages. Most are cheap boots that are glued. One that several people speak highly of though is the Suregrip Rebel.
I'm new to roller derby. I used to watch your videos to help learn skills to get comfortable on my skates. I take my WFTDA minimum skills test this Saturday, and officially joing a league. I am stoked you're going to start doing videos derby related!
@snatum YAY! I take my little skills thing this saturday too so I can go into the recreational league until the big girls hold try outs. I hope they do soon.
@lilizzy9 I made it into the Rec. Group but I am still not an official member until I meet attendance and other requirements. I am loving it though! :D
@JamSkateAddiction That is fabulous! I hope to play against you some day :P I am joining the Pueblo league the first week of July. Between skating 3-5 times a week and doing NOS at the derby practices here (i don't live near pueblo til the end of the month) I think I have a pretty good edge to make the fresh meat group.

im a referee in Newzealand auckland league , Pirate City Rollers
and when i first started a year ago i watchd your videos on cleaning skates etc
and learnt on from that .. so thank you
and i beleive you will be an awesome derby girl as u have alot of skill under your belt , just got to get used to the hits at the same time haha
