  • you could just buy a flashcart

  • cool

  • DSTWO has an onboard CPU to emulate the GBA/SNES perfectly. we sell it through our channel with free worldwide shipping included

  • I think FrodoDS emulator is terrible : I have gotten only ONE game (Archon, but I can only play as the Light side) to work on the thing....try loading Bruce Lee : I have not found one version that works.

  • Hey, cool dude! BTW, are you running OS X 10.4?

  • @jourdy288 heh, yeah, I think so. that was a while ago.

  • do u have th emu link plz

  • USA realease of command and conquer download at my command and conquer ds vid

check out my command and conquer vid for more details

digitalgam3r channel coming soon keep a loook out for more free roms

  • what a beast!

  • I can't get a C64 game to run on FrodoDS. Help please!

  • ...and the troubleshooting begins. So... how is it not working?

  • I start up the emulator normally, and I press the L button and choose Maniac Mansion, and it comes up on the emulation screen as an error device not found.

  • Do I need to patch the rom or something because I still have this error.

I have a Nintendo DSi and an R4i Gold Revolution card I bought from digimartz . com

  • boring

  • os x leopard is very fucked

  • cooool

  • do i need both gbamp and e3 pass?

  • Comment removed

  • Pankrah: The system this is emulating came out before you were born, man. lol I'm only a few years older than you (as per your profile) but we had a Commodore when I was a kid. I remember my father teaching me "C64 Basic" at age 8 because it was necessary to know at least a few commands in Basic just to use the damn thing. I sure miss playing Ghostbusters, though! :)

  • Re C64, did it get killed with the Y2K bug???

  • i think some software might but the computer itself still works...

  • The C64 didn't have a clock build in, except as an external expansion... so, no, the C64 doesn't care about time.

  • i think some 1 should make an iphone enmulator for ds plz write back cuz i think it is a gr8 idea

  • Should do better:

normal speed on games (some games are too slow)

    better sid emulation

    T64 and PRG disk support

    save support

  • cool a mac

  • My nephew has a Ds Lite and an R4 DS what do i need to do to get that to work.

Are there any amiga emulators :)

  • you just need to copy the emulator files. i don't know of an amiga emulator for the DS.

  • Onto the r4 as a normal ds rom in the games folder??

Where do i get them .

  • can i assume your nephew has a manual for the R4? I don't have an R4. I know about as much as the advertisements of the R4 tells me.

  • i know a good C64 emulator for you:

a real C64. they go for pretty cheap on EbAY.

  • Excellent. Can I buy one to put in my pocket and use SD cards to write to virtual 1541 floppies?

  • Exactly the point :p

The original C64 wasn't portable. you aren't getting the whole experience, putting it on a DS. i'd rather be able to feel the keyboard, see the monitor and hear the SID and 1541. i dunno, i'm just the sort who strives to have the real experience.

  • Oh absolutely the original experience is great. But really there were things not so great like the 1541 power supply capable of burning your skin. BTW, I blew out my SID from a game I was trying to write. I thought it was a cool sound when the sound chip was turned on and off so I used it to make clicking sounds. well i guess doing it a few hundred times in a row can kill it.

  • the gp2x-f200 has a touch screen. so now DS shouldnt have an advantage over it anymore.

  • tell me how you did that

  • Which part do you mean?

  • Holy shizzle.. thats the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life.. lol

  • JOE SATRIANI!!!

  • oberfett das will ich auch :)

  • omfg lol

get a m3 ds real or simply dude!

  • :-) hahahha... yeah this was done on the cheap for sure. the M3 definitely rocks.

  • haha yea. i thought the same

  • this is teh pwn!

  • any pc98 emulators for nds?

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That is so amazing! I worked for CBM 20 years ago. To see what you jsut did brought a tear to my eye! I love the old computers. I still have my very first Vic-20 I bought as a kid here. Also C64 & Amiga equipment. I just love what you guys are doing with all the old retro stuff! Keep up the great work!

  • Obviously I didn't write any of the tools used in this video. But tons of retro addicts like me are out there!

That's so very cool you worked for CBM. What did you do there? any cool stories / videos you can share?

  • I spent aprox 10 years at one of their outlets in our town. Ended up involved in management for the last few years of my employement there. It was very sad to see CBM finally go. Stories.. HUmm, I'd have to think. Probably heaps. Just knowing what to talk about I guess would be the question.

  • only one solution I can think of... Try a different emulator.

  • WOW i didnt know you could do this with a DS, how exactly do you put emulators on a DS? and once the emulators on do you just put game on for that emulator or what?

  • You just saw the video. It's as straightforward as copying files to a CF/SD card and plugging it into your DS.

  • i mean do you take a computer emulator one that works on a computer and put it on these cf/sd cards along with games whatever?

also could you tell me somewhere i could find some info on these cards?

  • roflcopter

psp can run nes, gba, nintendo 64, playstation, and other console games.

no offence cause the ds does have some pretty neat games

  • I know the post about N64 games was ages ago,,but anyway, You can't BUT a lot of the DS games coming out are ports of N64 games, Mario64, MarioKart, Starfox etc are all pretty much the same as the 64 versions!!

  • hey man, nice vid first of all. can you send me a private message as to where to get the emulators for the NDSor tell me the name of the emulators for it? i need the GBA one particularly, thanks again.

  • damn too bad

  • Hi, could some one please explane how to play N64 games on a Ds lite ?

  • You don't.

  • Not possible even in the slightest - although it is possible to pirate DS games and put them on a flash card and run them.

  • man your Ds and all those gears looks huge

  • search DS flash cards and look around ;)

  • I love watching your MAME videos Moffstarr! which handheld did you eventually get?

  • were can i buy thtn thing tht u put the ds game in?

  • Cool! oh btw amiga 2000, i loved the apple emulator :)

  • thats freaking awsome

  • PARADROID! I ain't seen that in years. C64 for friggen ever! Great work.

  • If you liked paradroid, you should check out the free GPL licence FreeDroid, its a pretty faithful re-engineering of the game.

  • Here's how I would decide... If you're going for maximum C64 emulation, choose the GP2X. the GP2X video should convince you that it's faster.

If you want to have run wireless homebrew, then go with the DS.

If you want to run the maximum number of emulators on a handheld, get the GP2X.

If you like Nintendo games, get the DS.

If you want to do emulation and like dealing with firmware upgrades, downgrades, and love waiting a long time for your games to boot, then get a PSP. :-)

  • nice! I've featured you at DSLiteReview.com

  • If you like this, I've posted another video from the guy that made this C64 emulator video. This time its using the old GBAMP v2 to run NDS backups and patching it for saves:
