  • Great and Beautiful actress-star she was, her real name was Anita Evelyn Pomares born August 4, 1910 in Flushing, New York, USA maybe not many know that she was of Latin American ancestry more exactly of Salvadorean background as her granfather was a consul from El Salvador in USA, you can check at wikipedia for her biography

  • Anita could totally make it in Hollywood today her personality is so infectious - even in silent films!

  • That is Douglas Fairbanks in part of this picture!

  • cute face, not much in the tit department....

  • Oh wow, she's so amazing. This video just made me wish I were her and living in that era like a star! I'm in a 1910s phase, but I think the roaring 20s (such a stark contrast - particularly with womens freedoms) is making me move on!

  • She was a real hot tamale! She seemed to play more introverted personalities when the sound came in. What am I saying, they all played more introverted personalities when sound came in. She was a pleasant contrast to the depression with her innocent beauty and it was always getting compromised somehow. She committed suicide, or a building was falling on her. The perfect gal to shed a tear for when it all went bad.

  • A 100th birthday rememberance to Anita Page.

  • does anita still reply to her fan mail ;/

  • thanks Mr Aaron

  • She weas so beautiful! RIP!

  • Anita wonderful is true but.........LOOK at the guys OMGG I WANT THE GUYS :D:D:D:D

  • God- How I adore Anita-- the personification of youth and happiness.

  • vastly superior to the Oscars tribute.

    Blogged!

  • I love this... thanks so much!

  • Young Doug was very handsome not like his dad atall really , they make a handsome pair

  • she was beautiful

  • She was so cute . i adore these pictures.

  • Beautiful tribute to Anita! One of my fave actresses! Could you please please tell me the songs you used? Especially the first one! I LOVE THEM!

  • I was and probably still am mad at the Academy Awards . . . in the memoriam they didn't even recognize her!

The last surviving "famous" film star of the silent era! Doesn't that mean anything anymore, honestly? I'm sure less than 10% of Hollywood stars could compete with her talent of acting if they were to use the same medium.

  • I couldn't agree more with your sentiments - absolutely unforgivable! Even George Clooney paid tribute to her when she died. She was the last person living to go to the 1st Academy Awards and was in a Best Picture film also. Disgraceful!!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree 110%! I will be outraged at them till the day I die! What they did was unforgivable! She was so amazing! One of my all time fave actresses!

  • They did a tribute upon her death quite nice I thought.

  • Anita Page dropped out of the Hollywood scene since she did not do the casting couch. Ironically she lived a much happier and longer life than her contemporaries Garbo, Crawford and later Harlow, Greer Garson, etc. so she had something...

  • The only thing is dear readers what films did she do that I've heard of. She's a lovely girl no doubt about that but who is she, no offence. I know quite a bit of the background music Aaron 1912 has put on though.

  • that was lovely! i CANNOT believe she died last September, it felt so close, my god, to at least known she was alive!

  • See who's loaded this up moonlightorchid99. My old mate Aaron 1912 that's who. Who loaded up that video of Fascinating Rhythm by the Savoy Orpheans I sent you. Why our old mate Aaron 1912. Now you simply have to watch it lol.

  • A wonderful tribute to Anita Page.

  • Aaron-I was very touched to learn that you hired an airplane to fly a Happy Birthday banner over Anita Page's house some time back. What a kind and grand gesture to a star of a wonderful departed era. I thought to myself: This is a mensch.

  • Excellant music and clips and so sad the majority of her generation have gone.My own grandmother passed away in June age 98 also.

  • The memories of you, will always remain as long as there are lovers of classic films. Rest in peace sweet Anita.

  • Anita, how sad I was to hear about your passing. Your luminous beauty will be in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace, beautiful star.

  • Rest in peace, beautiful star.

  • as long as their is film...she will never die

    ah...memories of a bygone age

  • Rest in peace, Anita.

  • Isn't that Joan Crawford with her around 2:26?

    20's flapper Joan ?

  • She was lovely - I've only seen much older pictures of her. Love her bobbed hairdo !

Thanks - this is fun !!

  • What a wonderful tribute to an even more wonderful lady! Great work!

  • Another new discovery for me. I've never heard of Anita Page before but she's brilliant. Besides Doug Jr who's the leading man? She's fantastic! I'm doing a new search and I thought there was ONLY Clara Bow or Theda

  • Perfect match of images and music! Outstanding presentation.

  • Thanks. Anita still replies to her fan mail.

  • I loooove the music and clips in this!!! All of your videos are so awesome and introduce me to so much from the '20s-thank you so much :) I love Anita's look!

  • Who is this? It's not Garbo, Shearer, or Bow... who??!!? She's wonderful.

  • The first one sounds like Johnny Hamps's Kentucky Serenaders...

  • They sound similar, but it's really

Curtis Mosby And His Blue Blowers playing

In My Dreams I'm Jealous Of You (1927)

  • she's wonderful!

  • Loved the film scenes and the music... What is the name of the Band and the same....5 Big Stars....
