this reminds me of my childhood & the innocence that i lost, Oh so long ago...
thank you for resurrecting my past, it isn't often i ponder simpler times, where everyday seemed magical and where worry existed not. i miss the blissful ignorance of my youth, days that i thought i could accomplish anything and felt invincible, but those are long gone. my mirror tells me everyday, that i'm running out of time, sorry to open myself up like this, but hearing you play this has made me vulnerable :'-(
Cool. XD I wrote a variation on the song as well, and thought I'd check out other peoples variations. ^^ Yours is awesome. ;) You should check out mine.
First, Pan's Labryinth was a beautiful and intelligent movie. One of my favorite that has come out in the last 5 years. I loved the lullaby from it and I think you've one a wonderful version of it. I think it might work well with pedals, blurring the notes to get that whispery feel of the movie.
That was a really interesting rendition- I liked the way you moved down the scale when the original moved up, it really added that extra something. Great job!
The creator does say that this is a variation, in the title. 'Written and performed by P.Blackburn, inspired by the lullaby from Pan's Labyrinth' in the desc - keyword being inspired. I'm pretty sure the creator wasn't trying to play the actual song.
Anyway, aside from that... It sounds lovely, and is very inspiring in itself.
that one was probably the best one I heard on youtube..probably cuz it had a sharp grand piano sound to it, that made it have a very pleasant sound to it. come on people show me had to play this song I want to see all the keys
May i ask where you got the music from? i must see it!! i really loved the movie. It was the most beautiful movie every made. And to see someone to play music from it, is just inspiring.
True,it is more than just inspired by,that's why it's called Pan's Labyrinth-VARIATION.Variation meaning I took the original melody line and rewrote the chord pattern but thanks for pointing that out.
I don not think that this is a sad movie. Tought she died, she find her way to her world. Waht i mean?
I am catholic, and since i saw this movie i am thinking more often about we are here just a time, our real world is the heaven and each option that we take will help to it... until the full moon appear.
I took part of the melody from the theme from Pan's Labyrinth and then composed the rest around it and I'm studying for Grade 4 piano. Thanks for watching!
Sorry,I've not written this down properly but it's in CMinor and the 1st chord is the first inversion of Cm--G-C-E flat, hope that helps. Thanks for commenting too!
Thanks for commenting! For transcribing I usually write it out by hand and use sibelius once it's finished, sibelius is cool, easier to read than my script!
I sit here listening over & over - it is bittersweet tune to me - today is my grandsons first birthday. I lost a baby grandson three years ago and it is happy-sad time right now. Thank you for a beautiful music.
Sorry for the loss of your other grandson, that's very sad.Best wishes on for your grandson's big day though! It means a great deal to me that this song moved you so,I do bittersweet pretty well, sad songs appeal to me,thanks for your comments, now,go make a fuss of that grandson of yours!
Thanks avdj,I can always count on you to leave a nice comment! Good to be back!Gonna try and do a couple more vids before concentrating on piano only again!
