  • They'll never make it. Who's going to pay for their rescue?

  • @ticklemeoj Our Ancestors use this boat 5000 to 3000 yrs ago during migration from Philppines to Pacific Islands that inhabitad upto Polynesia, The Phil and all those Pacific Islands are belong to one group known as "Austronesian / Malayo Polynesian", by language. culture and traditions",and mtDNA.

  • ..go pinoy!!!...hope this boat didn't catched by Ondoy or pepeng..

  • it did

  • the boats design is for shallow water use like rivers mainly for hauling cargo or habitation along inlets and rivers. basically a trading type of boat to haul cargo in and out of the delta to inner rivers. think 'barges' compared to 'galleons'

for long range and deepwater trans oceanic voyages that can deal with weather like ocean waves you need a different hull and sail design.

  • @emforty2 in philippines there is no impossible, impossible is just a word.

  • This is a lepa-lepa type boat used for transporting single familes. It is way too small to have transported a barangay. The transoceanic ships would have been much larger at least the size of the Pandanan wreck of about 30 x 8 meters, or more than twice the size of this boat.
