I didn't watch it all, because this song always makes me cry and I try to avoid songs that I know are going to trigger my bipolar disorder ... but the video is extremely well done and very creative. Congratulations to all involved!
I haven't heard this song since I was a kid! =) So glad he only got pushed down the stairs and not over the side of that building. Whew! "I don't wuv you anymore." :(
I have loved this song since the 50's! (I think it was released in 1959) You get an A+ for your video porduction, and your actors get top awards as well.
As children, this was our favorite record. We sang it all the time and thought it was so funny. I then sang it to my children. My youngest was horrified - she couldn't believe the lady pushed the LBM off the building. She said it was very sad. I never thought of it that way! Anyway, this video is very much like what I imagined in my head. Good job!
Wow this is so cool! My mother used to sing this to all 7 of her kids (including me) growing up, & here it is, done so beautifully by you guys! Thanks! :)
I heard this on the radio today and had to look this up on youtube! You guys did an awesome job! This is as professional as you are going to get! "I loved it to bits!" :)
This is a terrific video. The acting, lip-synching, directing and all aspects of the production are first rate. A nice tribute to a great old novelty song.
The fact is that "FRED EBB" is the voice of the Little Blue Man, not Hugh Downs. They auditioned about 250 different people for the voice of the Little Blue Man, but, Paul Klein said "No One can do the voice as well as you do, Fred"; so Fred did the recorded voice of the Little Blue Man! This was told to me by Fred Ebb himself!
I haven't heard this disaster for over twenty years, back when I was courting alcoholism at the Palais Royale in dismal downtown Albany, NY. Whoever the actress is...she's gorgeous.
I like the way the last verse was compramised on the rooftop since you actually cant push the 'blue man' over the side. The stairwell and the song acoustics went very well together.
How can this possibly be the "blue man" I so clearly remember this being the "green" man. Memory is such a funny thing. I am really, truly shocked this is blue, not green, man. Crazy!
Very nice job! The lip-synching is perfect, the timing equally as precise; I especially liked the producers choice to have the little man "pushed" down the stiairwell, which acoustically matched the 50 year old recording technique to a 'T'. The man who recorded the song with Betty Johnson apparently simply eased back from the microphone to create the effect of the little blue man falling. Your representation in the stairwell was, again, just perfect to the recording. Thanks.
Excellent!

One of our local retro radio stations played "The Little Blue Man" this afternoon; I had to see if there was a video for it.
Sure enough, there is!
Well done, everybody involved in the making of the video!
