I love this song, I remember when I first discovered it on the radio playing about 7 years ago...I knew i Had to download it...fun, simple, good beats, lyrics, voice --everything!
@sscrystal10 for real...pop music's structure is easy and formulaic therefore the real art of it is using that formulaic structure to make people really feel something...good pop music also crosses all demographics too and kind of unites people...history will forget beiber, kesha, and selena gomez because we will still be jamming Hall and Oates, Boyz II Men, Tears for Fears and MJ in 30 years.
@TTPianoboy I agree. I was in high school in the late 70's and the late 70's - 80's & most of the 90's had the best music (in my opinion). I can't stand Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift & name just about any other singer of today; I hate the top 40 on the radio nowadays. There is a local station that will play the older stuff & that's the one I listen to.
i finishe reading a biography of amy grant a few days ago...i'm a fan...her career was calculated no different from michael jackson's or the beatles....she always intended to get her message out to the widest audience possible...if that meant going pop, so be it...she's also very honest about who she is and about being a woman...she not ashamed of her sexuality and doesn't try to hide...bascially, she's just saying it's cool to be you, god still loves you...
@discocreator76 I did. Amy Grant really had great producers working with her. Wonder what the hell happened and why she just kinda faded away from mainstream.
In 2000, I took over as manager of Champs Sports in the Mall at Green Hills in Nashville. I had been on a Heart in Motion kick for a couple of months before I took the job. Just played the CD all time. I knew Amy lived in that section of town and I thought how cool it would be if she came into the store. The 4th day I was there, guess who strolls in? That's right! I got to chat with her for about half an hour and sold her $190 worth of softball stuff. THE highlight of my years in Nashville!
my momma used to drive me around in the ford fiesta aka doodle bomb listening to this song.....reminds me of being a lil man......worry free times!!!!!
@Morgethein shallow? She's a christian artist, this song was about the joy of giving birth to her CHILD. It isn't shallow I don't know why everyone assumes it's a romance song, she said herself it was for her child, the rest of the songs about her ex husband were not so happy.
drove through the magnificent Canadian Rockies listening to this song and had to stop and walk and listen to this incredible song. Still stop and look at the Rockies with this song on Ipod. Amazing car song and more!
@12tpain34. Harold and Kumar sing wilson phillips - hold on, in the 1st movie but do they sing that in the 2nd one with Neil Patrick Harris? I don't remember
well since lotsa people are saying how old they were when this came out.. lemmy play too....
I was 15 in 1991 when this came out... and from what I can remember, listening to this on the radio, was like a warm ray of sunshine on your face, on a cool day :-)
I remember dad got this tape single it had this mix and funky remix... I liked this one better... thats how I learnd about remixes!! i was 9 then all the memories!
i dont remember where i was exactly, but when i was much younger, i was playing a Street Fighter arcade game and this was playing in the background of wherever i was..pretty funny to be making Chun-Li kick ass to this!
My oldest daughter was born the year this song was released. I remember holding her (my beautiful baby girl) in my arms and dancing through the room singing, I fell entirely love.
My oldest daughter was born the year this song was released. I remember holding her (my beautiful baby gir) in my arms and dancing through the room singing, I fell entirely love.
This was one of my favorite songs from Amy. I always vision being on the beach with someone with this song playing in the background. This is such a romantic and relaxing song.
Love it! Love it! Love it! How deliciously uplifting is this song. Amy now refers to this song and others from Heart In Motion as "that goofy pop fluff". Amy, without the exposure the album gave you, no one would know who you are

I heared this on BFBS-FM and on AFN-AM radio. First i heared the Baby-Baby (No
getting over you mix). Then I heared this version with the jolly joyfull Synth Swing in
it. That was back in 1991. Still love this Song very much!!!! Well in the Starting of the
90 ies there was a bit of Oldskool Hip Hop, New Jack Swing, Dance Music, Techno
and Hardcore ( Break Beats Music). Then came the Euro Dance Nightmare
Conspiracey- Bullcrap Trash Music- Boy Bands- Spice Girls- And Lil Who???
Oldskool!!!l
