In fact today it is even different from what Dharamsala is. They have cellphones, new schools, etc. Tibetans are represented in the NPC in Beijing. However in Dharamsala you have a shanty parliament house. Tibetans in China are Chinese citizens. Exile Tibetans in India are stateless. There is a big difference.

There are other organizations in china which are linked to the CCP which mean you are linked to the party. He may well have been a member of one of those organizations rather than the party itself.

almost every other chinese I known had suffered under the chinese rule.my father's college classmate went to jail during the culture revolution and he was dragged through broken glass as a part of his reeducation. However, his friend is a ccp member(got free education, medical care, apartment etc).most chinese does support democratic revolution in china, but hate losing their territory(tibet independence).

Nepal seems to be VERY important for Tibetans because the adult literacy rate in the Tibet Autonomous Region is only 45.1 percent.

For mainland (or Inner) China its 89 percent. So it looks like there is little chance of getting a decent education in Tibet.

I mean, we are in middle of two big nations, India and China, India's a Bully most of the times and China has power over us because they provide us with financial aid...Infact, they help us a lot. USA ignored the fact about Tibet? Yankees were the first who started this tibet independence issue during the socialist uprising in china. US CIA funded dalai lama followers to fight against China. they even used nepal as battle field against china some decades ago and CIA was providing them weapons. thankfully that battle didn't last long, otherwise nepal would be like Afghanistan and Iraq. US still funds dalai lama's parliament. no one should expect anything from capitalist and imperelist USA.

I am here in UK, I see the newspapers and I see papers with pictures of Tibetans beated by the Nepalese police. Poor Tibetans and Barbaric Nepalese People???!...This is getting ever so ridiculous.

It is not only Nepali police who beat the tibetan protestors. Indian police also beat many tibetan protestors. India is definitely not so weak like Nepal in front of China and they don't depend on china's financial aid as well. so there's hardly any economiccal and political reason to beat pro tibetan protestors. both countries india and nepal were fearing from the consequences of the pro tibet protest. no country in sub continent wants to be engaged in international issue like Tibet.

I am utterly disappointed at this particular situation. I totally support Tibetans, I ama Nepalese girl and as said in this video, my country welcomes people from all over the world. As for the current situation. Any person with a common sense should understand what is actually going on.
