Doesn't take too much. Find a sound editing program (I suggest one that can strip vocals or instruments out of a song) on bitorent and then play around with it till you make yer first mashup.

if you plan on making one i suggest the 2 main things you should focus on is the tempo and if both songs sound good together (obviously)

never slow down the tempo of something because it will lose quality and sound choppy. if you have a beat that is faster than the vocz, speed up the vocz, and vice versa to preserve as much sound as possible. cool edit pro.

THIS IS NOT A MASH UP PEOPLE! A mashup is still verses and choruses but you intertwine them with 2 groups (and both groups contribute with their own verse/chorus/beat) so that u have (ex.) beat and chorus of one group and the verses of the other group.

well then what makes you soooooooo good at it whats special about you that's not about Dragorwyin.

don't really want to argue about this anymore, but the difference is that Dragorwyin only has a few different samples to choose from on each song, and can only mix those and those two. basically, there are like 9 or so mashups that are possible from that site. When he presses a button, the sample starts at the exactly right time, and the pitch is autamatically adjusted to fit perfectly.

If you asked me to mix don't Stay with Crawling, I'd pull it off with a few hours work.

Where as I would filter the sound clips of those songs, to make acapellas and instrumentals and then adjust the tempo so it sounds right, and after that, the pitch.

Any good programs for filtering? CEP doesn't want to filter tracks properly for me... Acapella loses alot of quality and sounds hollow and the instrumentals feel too "soft" (once you remove the vocz, the beat is left with slightly softer drums...)

I have some old songs I recorded that I wanna get the vocz from to make remixes.
