  • Would it be possible to make white chocolate mousse using this recipe obviously just putting in white choc instead of dark or is it more complicated than that?

  • @angelgirl976 Yes, just substitute for white chocolate ;)

  • I'm going to use this mousse as a filling, is half of this recipe enough for 24 cm cake? :)

  • @edvinasal That should be fine ;)

  • "naughty little babies" ;))

  • I used milk chocolate with mine and decided to add a bit of surprise flavour by added very finely crushed hazelnuts into the mixture right after the chocolate and butter melted already. I got an interestin texture though.. after it set it was just like normal chocolate mousse but with a hazelnut flavour. ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow but i use only one egg for my self

  • sorry my grammar can be wrong becuz i just tudy in low grade hope ans answer back :)

  • @OnePotChefShow hi! after i just watch this video i just made it!but the egg white ,i beat it too hard and too long so when i keep it to set up and when i put it on the chocolate batter it have some bubble . is it ok?

  • Can we use 2 eggs?

    Just less than 4 eggs

because i don't want high cholesterol

  • @MrCymikey This recipe makes 4 servings - so it's only 1 egg per person ;)

  • @MrCymikey eggs dont give you chalestrol idiot

  • @battlenetistehgay

Thanks for calling me an idiot.

    I did do some research.

    "Eggs are high in cholesterol."

    Sorry to disappoint you.

  • @MrCymikey Cholesterol in eggs don't raise the blood cholesterol that much, saturated fatts do!

  • @MrCymikey im a vegan

  • @Bird50ify

    good to know : )

  • hey can we/have you tried using milk chocolate instead?

    would it still taste good?

  • @Myview246 You can use milk chocolate if you wish, but it will be less rich and the flavor will be less intense ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow hmm ok maybe i could mix the milk chocolate with the dark chocolate, i did that with a cheesecake once and it turned out ok x

  • how long does it take for you to make the egg whites fluffy?

  • why can't we stir the egg whites and choc?

  • @alwy963 Because stirring lets all the air out of the egg whites ;)

  • If you didn't cook the egg how did you not get food poisoning?

  • @HollylovesMark I suggest you read the comments below ;)

  • @HollylovesMark You can eat RAW Eggs :P

  • What can the egg be substituted with...???

  • Have you ever heard of Cadbury Energy? It's a cross between dark and milk chocolate. Not sure if it's still around but would be perfect for chocolate moose

  • your description at the end kills me cos i'm not eating that right now :(

  • Once again... the sexy red whisk of death.

  • I thought that this would taste ... disgusting but its really nice . Lol

  • David approx. how much do those ramequins hold? Like how many cups?

  • @MrButterworth24 They hold about 1 Cup (250ml) ;)

  • I just finished making this dessert and it is

So good! The whisking of the egg whites are tough. Onepotchef , when I folded the chocolate with the egg whites , I noticed white dots. Is it because I never mixed in the sugar with the egg whites well?

  • 2:59 - 3:00 'THESE NAUGHTY LITTLE BABIES..'

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. I swear he sounded like Stewie Griffin.

  • Hi I just want to ask and I am planning to make this. Must I really use a heat proof bowl? Because I don't have one , I have only a Chinese bowl you know when they serve soups? And a spatula is a must? Again , I don't have one . ._. can I use a spoon and like gently let it like fold? Or a wisk?

  • Comment removed

  • Could you use an electric mixer to mix the egg whits? and if you wanted to, could you use half half milk & dark chocolate or would that be weird? Im salvating looking at these though! yum!

  • @HardcoreGlamour01 Yes, you could use an electric mixer - I just wanted to show people how to do it by hand. A mix of chocolate would also be fine ;)

  • you didn't use cream ? or whipping cream whatsoever xD just asking :) haha .

  • @miyoNg13 You don't need cream for this recipe ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow thanks :)

  • What If i Put Sugar instead of Caster Sugar

  • I have tried to get my father to try my mousses, but he refuses for fear of not cooking the eggs. He is convinced I am going to poison him. Can anyone tell me a good answer for why he doesn't need to worry in this case?

  • @Xinixie Unless you are pregnant, have a serious illness or a compromised immune system, eating raw egg is safe ;)

  • can i use a fork instead of a whisk?

  • @eliR101 No, you need to use a whisk to get the air into it :)

  • This is like crack cocaine to chocoholics haha ledgend i bet he was thinking of that for a while lol

  • @Myhighnotes You think this is crack? Wait until you find my Chocolate Cheesecake video hehehe :)

  • Is it ok If i add nuts in it? :)

  • @keshaney Absolutely that would be yummy :)

  • why do all australians sound the same D:

  • it tasted better if yyou microwave it for about 30 sec medium heat and after that add ice cream topping trust me it tasted delic! we've tried it!

  • Made i white choc version, .was nice but abit tooooo rich so i wil be addin cream nxttime but thankz.

  • But chocolate bars is fine right?

  • @mushyfaces As long as it's plain chocolate (no nuts, caramel etc) that will be fine

  • Is it find if I use chocolate bars which are moderate in rich the rich flavor instead of dark chocolate chips?

  • @mushyfaces Feel free to use milk chocolate if you prefer :)

  • Soo the eggs are okay to eat like this? I've been scarred to make stuff with raw eggs ever since... well i don't really know.. but yeah?

  • @CarandKat As long as you are not feeding this mousse to someone with a compromised immune system (young children or babies, someone with a serious illness or a pregnant woman) it's fine ;)

  • @CarandKat the yolks get cooked by the heat of the chocolate, the egg whites can be eaten raw (known as marenge or something like that i dunno the english spelling).

  • @BansheeVanRaven oh... ok! Thanks (BTW you were very close! it's merangue I think...)

  • i made it whit 60% cocoa chocolate and it was awesome but my sister really likes it sweet and asked whit milk chocolate and it was awful :/

  • You're so sweet to share your wonderful recipes with the world:)

You make me want to eat at home:)

  • That looks good... I think I want to do that, now...

  • they came out awsummmm thanks but i used 2 bars of dark-semi sweet chocolate and 2 table spoons of butter

  • hey there onepotchef... do you have any recepies with coconut???

  • @hadasarbit22 Take a look at my channel and look for "Coconut Ice" - it's a coconut fan's dream ;)

  • is white sugar ok?

  • @Peekaboo21100 yea i made them with white sugar they came out perfect

  • you make it look so easy! not sure what i did but my attempt went horribly wrong! I bow to the master!

  • I made it , it was amazing,yum! i used >>

    4 eggs (seperated)

2 bars of dark cooking chocolate

    5 tablespoons butter (soft)

1 tablespoon milk (full-fat) I used the same method as in the video

  • I made it with regular white sugar and I had no chocolate pieces so I used cocoa/sugar/butter/milk instead and it turned out reaaalllly good! Thanks!

  • You know you are going to hell for giving us this recipe. I can't wait to try it lol.

  • @salmaPS I do not understand

  • @OnePotChefShow Maybe they mean a flavor or taste of egg yolk? It's the only way I can make the word 'sense' make sense in that sense. :p

  • I'm off to make this now! :)

  • What kind of sugar was that you used? Can you use regular white sugar instead?

  • @tasneemaljerrahi I used Caster Sugar (Superfine White Sugar) - I recommend using a finer sugar as it integrates into the mixture better ;)

  • @tasneemaljerrahi i don't think you even need sugar. so normal sugar works.

  • do i rly have to let it set, it looks tastier when it was more gooey.

I really like, how you dont let the fame go to your head, and you answer so many comments, thats what you call devotion. And sorry for the bad english skills ^^

  • @TeoSims You can eat it gooey if you want, but it's better once it's set. I'm glad you like my videos :)

  • HOLY. im doing this to my expired chocolates :) AND ILL SIT ON THE TOILET FOR AN HOUR.

    i love you:)

  • One of the ways you know egg whites are stiff peaks are to turn them upside down, if they don't fall and stick to the bowl it's done :)

  • i wanna ask....ive been searching for chocolate mousse recipe n i found a lot in utube..but most of them only use litte butter if compare to yours...i know dis gonna sound so stupid but do u really use 125g of butter....thnx

  • @mwr58 This recipe makes 4 large servings, so that might account for the difference between this and other recipes ;)

  • oh my god this guy's going to kill me!

  • It is delicious! I tried it and it was light and fluffy

  • This recipe is awesome. But can I use normal sugar instead of caster sugar?

  • @MrMirNaveen I recommend using caster sugar as it is finer than normal sugar, so it's easier to integrate into the other ingredients ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow where can u find caster sugar in the U.S.?

  • @mizzishukaur You might know it as "Super Fine" sugar ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow oh yes I know that, Thanks :)

  • you look like a realy nice person

  • Those "naughty little babies" look delicious. :)

  • OMG, this recipe is fantastic, and really easy too. I used Cadbury's Dark Chocolate when I made it and for decoration placed milk and white chocolate shavings on top. It was very sweet so I placed mine in smaller ramekins, it made 8 servings.

  • Hey, what's the song for the intro? Me and my best friend like it.

  • hey how are you, i was just wondering what program did you use to do all your intros

  • Can you do this with white chocolate? I love white chocolate.

  • @GodSaysRaawr8D Absolutely!

  • @GodSaysRaawr8D , instead of using rich choclate, use white.

  • omg i have to admit i am a chocoholic but this is soooooooooo gooooood i made this today i ended up making this recipe 3 times

  • @OnePotChefShow what happens is you use regular chocolate, just asking because i hate the taste of dark chocolate?

  • @me6ur You can use milk chocolate if you prefer, but normal dark chocolate has a much stronger chocolate flavour (don't use 70%+ cocoa etc - it's too bitter) ;)

  • I made this and it tasted great. Only problem is that it made a LOT less than you did. Did you by chance double the recipe in the video?

  • @MrButterworth24 No - it's likely you were using larger ramekins (containers) to serve them in. This mixture should make 4 serves ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Ya that is probably it. It looks a lot bigger in the video just because you cant see how big the ramekin is compared to everything else. Keep up the great vids!

  • can you use pasturized eggs?

  • "its like crack cocaine to chocoholics" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • thanks alot

but do you have a recipe for Chocolate Mousse but without eggs ????

  • Comment removed

  • Where i live we don't get choco chips so can i use dairy milk

  • @aditya6able Just use basic cooking chocolate bars that you would find in the baking section of your local supermarket.

  • This has 720 kcal per serving,

    doens´t sounds that tasty?

(and yes, I have been mild counting)

  • @Marloessssssssss well its not like we are going to make it everyday , it is just a nice treat every once in awhile

  • Mmm, god, this looks wonderful... I'm subscribing.

  • u made this video 1 day after my b'day

  • Very eloquent! Nice work One Pot Chef!

  • isn't eatting raw eggs dangerous? because you just mixed it in the cold mix so was wondering.

  • @451231231 Eating raw eggs is only an issue if you have a low immunity disorder or if you are pregnant.

  • @OnePotChefShow i disagree they have a small yet significant chance of salmonella. infact, here in the US we are currently in a HUGE salmonella outbreak. Pasteurized eggs FTW!

  • @OnePotChefShow the eggs will cook when mixed with the hot chocolate. so you wont be eating raw eggs.

  • @OnePotChefShow or if your living in an unhugenic place, but actually, if u wash eggs before eating with a special chemical, you can safely eat them raw :)

  • @451231231 im a doctor, its only bad when you have high cholesterol which involves heart disease like coronary artery disease or certain liver diseases because cholesterol breaks down in the liver and protein too and eggs have plenty of cholesterol and protein. But you can certainly eat this wonderfull mousse, just eat a portion dont go too far.

  • @451231231 there is also egg alternatives.

  • has anyone done the conversion for US measurements? I've been looking online and seem to get varying conversions depending on the source. Damn our measurement system in the United States! :)

  • HAHA you posted this on my birthday

  • do i have to use caster sugar?

  • @jam101606 It is recommended ;)

  • I made and it and it tasted delicious. The only problem is that it didn't firm, the consistency was like nutella. Is my refrigerator's temperature too low or didn't I leave it in long enough (I left it in for 2 hours). Can you tell me what I could do for next time.

  • @tahalz It could be the fridge is not cold enough, but I find that leaving them for at least 4 hours (or overnight if possible) is usually enough to make sure they firm up.

If in doubt, leave them in for longer. They will set, it just takes different times in different fridges :)

  • Just made this looks so good! Haven't tried it yet tho! Love your channel its so additive.

  • you have nice ice blue eyes ;)

  • Could i use regular milk chocolate im not much of a fan of dark Chocolate

  • @com1exptert Yes, you can use milk chocolate. Just make sure it is milk chocolate suitable for melting ;)

  • after you add the egg whites and egg yolk to the chocolate melt mixture dont you have to heat it up so the eggs cook or is the chocolate mixture already hot enough that it heats up the eggs?

  • @mariostar263 No, you don't need to cook (or heat up) the eggs :)

  • omg.

  • Your eyes are really nice ;>

  • Can you make a.. cheesecake .. any kind it can be fruity .. or chocolaty :) please xx

  • @MissStrawberryC I've already done a lemon cheesecake, check my other videos ;)

  • i made it and it was yummay :D but the chocolate flavor was a bit too strong :/

  • can u make a desert without milk im alergic for it

  • @the1evil1 Lactose intolerant?

  • @KJHDuke yes i cant have milk products/lactose so i ask him for desert without milk / lactose

  • This is great! Since I'm a vegetarian, I can't eat gelatine, and it's in most mousses, so thank-you!!! :D

  • Made this! turned out great thanks! Do you have a quick recipe for Tartare sauce?

  • @minitipper I haven't made a video of tartare sauce, but a quick version is to combine some whole-egg mayonnaise with finely chopped gherkins, add a pinch of dill, and squeeze in some lemon juice to taste. Season with a little salt if desired.

    Hope that helps ;)

  • i made this nd it waz delicious. Thankyou OnePotChef!!!

  • wow that looks really nice :)

ill try it out,btw your videos reaaally help !!

    greatings from spain :D

  • These looks great!

A small pinch of Ancho Chile powder would be a nice and spicy addition!

  • @TangoSpiceCompany Chili and Chocolate are wonderful together - especially in Hot Chocolate :)

  • @OnePotChefShow Now you're talkin'!

  • What is the difference between doing this and melting it all in a pan. The only difference i can see is it takes longer! lol. I tried this method with brownies and they just fell apart once they cooled, all crumby .... :(

  • @LoftyProduction Long story short, the chocolate comes out smoother when melted using the "double boiler" method. Doing it directly in a pan can sometimes make it slightly lumpy and increase the possibility of burning.

Just doing it in the pan is ok for most baked recipes, but when you need a smooth consistency, the double boiler is best ;)

Not sure what happened with your brownies though. Sounds like they were too dry, so adding a bit more liquid might help next time ;)

  • wow David, its look so yummy, also my mouth gets water, surely i will try this....i have one question... can i use paper cups instead of ceramic cups?

  • @brk2005 Yes, you can use paper/plastic cups if you like. In fact, if you are planning on taking them outside or transporting them somewhere - using disposable cups is much better :)

  • @OnePotChefShow Thank you so much ..... i will try your suggestions.

  • is it like um icecream or what i dont know what it is D: help me D:

  • @puppylover205 Chocolate Mousse is a thick, rich dairy dessert. It's not really like ice cream. More like a thick chocolate cream ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow :o ty :D

  • Thanks mate looks tasty!

I like hour you said "refrigerate for at least 4 hrs" however you pulled your out in just a couple of hours... I would have tooooo.

  • @noosaslayer Nothing was holding me back hehehe

  • can u make a recipie with like white chocolat
