Would it be possible to make white chocolate mousse using this recipe obviously just putting in white choc instead of dark or is it more complicated than that?
I used milk chocolate with mine and decided to add a bit of surprise flavour by added very finely crushed hazelnuts into the mixture right after the chocolate and butter melted already. I got an interestin texture though.. after it set it was just like normal chocolate mousse but with a hazelnut flavour. ;)
@OnePotChefShow hi! after i just watch this video i just made it!but the egg white ,i beat it too hard and too long so when i keep it to set up and when i put it on the chocolate batter it have some bubble . is it ok?
Have you ever heard of Cadbury Energy? It's a cross between dark and milk chocolate. Not sure if it's still around but would be perfect for chocolate moose
So good! The whisking of the egg whites are tough. Onepotchef , when I folded the chocolate with the egg whites , I noticed white dots. Is it because I never mixed in the sugar with the egg whites well?
Hi I just want to ask and I am planning to make this. Must I really use a heat proof bowl? Because I don't have one , I have only a Chinese bowl you know when they serve soups? And a spatula is a must? Again , I don't have one . ._. can I use a spoon and like gently let it like fold? Or a wisk?
Could you use an electric mixer to mix the egg whits? and if you wanted to, could you use half half milk & dark chocolate or would that be weird? Im salvating looking at these though! yum!
I have tried to get my father to try my mousses, but he refuses for fear of not cooking the eggs. He is convinced I am going to poison him. Can anyone tell me a good answer for why he doesn't need to worry in this case?
@CarandKat As long as you are not feeding this mousse to someone with a compromised immune system (young children or babies, someone with a serious illness or a pregnant woman) it's fine ;)
@CarandKat the yolks get cooked by the heat of the chocolate, the egg whites can be eaten raw (known as marenge or something like that i dunno the english spelling).
do i rly have to let it set, it looks tastier when it was more gooey.
I really like, how you dont let the fame go to your head, and you answer so many comments, thats what you call devotion. And sorry for the bad english skills ^^

OMG, this recipe is fantastic, and really easy too. I used Cadbury's Dark Chocolate when I made it and for decoration placed milk and white chocolate shavings on top. It was very sweet so I placed mine in smaller ramekins, it made 8 servings.
@me6ur You can use milk chocolate if you prefer, but normal dark chocolate has a much stronger chocolate flavour (don't use 70%+ cocoa etc - it's too bitter) ;)
@OnePotChefShow Ya that is probably it. It looks a lot bigger in the video just because you cant see how big the ramekin is compared to everything else. Keep up the great vids!

@451231231 im a doctor, its only bad when you have high cholesterol which involves heart disease like coronary artery disease or certain liver diseases because cholesterol breaks down in the liver and protein too and eggs have plenty of cholesterol and protein. @tahalz It could be the fridge is not cold enough, but I find that leaving them for at least 4 hours (or overnight if possible) is usually enough to make sure they firm up.
