played the birds singing off this album in my car parked up..with the windows down..loud...seen little birds lookin around...........before i know it...the cars surrounded by blackbirds.sparrows..magpies..­bluetits..all singin and sort of swaying..suddenly the cd started jumpin and shit..it woodnt play...the birds stopped singin ..then they starts peckin at my tyres...flyin at my window..hundreds of them attack my car..i start the engine and got out of there...i ran over a seagulll..it was scary

You've listed the songs you don't like and that makes it easier for me to disagree with you. I love her unique daring to extend and limit song length for artistic effect. My fave KB album has to be "Lionheart", with "Kick Inside" and "Never For Ever" a close second and third respectively.  "Aerial" is just OK - it's highs ("Pi", "Joanni", the beautiful "Prologue" , "Sunset" and the stunning "Mrs.Bartolozzi") are almost negated by the its lows ("A Coral Room", "Bertie", "Nocturn" , the itty bitty tracks like "Prelude" and "Aerial Tal" and the title track). It's very much a mixed bag and I can't really deside whether I like it or dislike it. Not her best.

a beautiful, humble comment Bluebuthappy 182 re the combination (of music and the visual) leading to artistic perfection. i feel similarly when i see cirque du soleil: Quidam's-red silk aerial contortion performed to 'Let Me Fall' (Josh Groban). humility and the ability to recognize and be affected by beauty is a gift in itself too.

Aerial Straps - VAREKAI (Cirque du Soleil) ... it's nice but forgetable... it's nothing compared to Kate's Aerial... putting Kate's Aerial to this performance was a stroke of genius... The second disc of this album, Aerial, is a total MASTERPIECE. Seriously, it was majorly overlooked when it came out. It is simply stunning, timeless art for art's sake. Kate Bush paints beautifully with her words... Just purchased the piano songbook on Amazon thanks to this little reminder of Aerial's brilliance. Her genius cannot be denied. If you love this, try Joni Mitchell's "Travelogue"- Another masterpiece.

The title song from Aerial is the last song on the second disc of the album. What strikes me is that is the way that the guitar work is allowed to break out towards the end of this song in an album in which guitars are generally either non-existent ot quite muted in sound. It is such a compelling contrast that it must have been deliberate. The laughter reminds me of madcap songs like 'Sat in your lap' and 'Rocket's Tail'.
