Thanks Bill I appreciate your response. I found the rope tightner under an old Oak tree along w/ a 1945 Walker and an 1853 Seated Dime love token. Worked an estate along Lake Ontario this fall.
I think you are talking about the tent rope tightner. Those were made of brass and used through out the civil era period through WWII. Thanks for watching and Keep Your Coil To The Soil.

During the intro Bill held up a small handle sort of item - any idea what that wasI I found one this year, but a bit further north, on Lake Onatario!
