Go for ds games there good. Heart gold and soulsilver are kind of remakes of silver and gold for gameboy color.

@szymborski11 HeartGold and SoulSilver are Gold and Silver with a lot of upgrades, better graphics, handling features etc but I still prefer the original on Game Boy

I think it's worth getting newer editions. I have heart gold and it's very good! It starts at Johto and you can unlock Kanto later on the game :D My first game was Leaf Green - when I was 7 years old :D I love pokemon!

pokemon fire red is rubbish compared to the original pokemon red game. Thats a classic game, with classic graphics and music and is my first and favourite pokemon game ever.

The last game that I played is the sapphire. I'm so addicted to it. Several times i even played until 3am in the morning. That's why I don't want to start again. But it was really fun. Oh I remember that wireless thingy and now it's on line gaming. =] I'm not sure if I want to start playing again once the black and white comes out.

you missed out on red blue yellow gold silver and crystal when you were younger :( red version was my second ever game, only bested by Mario Bros for GBC which i got free with my Gameboy colour
