Never done this before but from what I have heard FFT in a microcontroller is pretty pretty straight forward... So why not? It also says audio spectrum analyzer in the discription, so that leads to FFT again ;-)

In your first post you are asking if this guy uses FFT. I tell you that FFT can be easily implemented in a microcontroller so it may as well use FFT in fact. That sentence also says that you should google yourself around about FFT in microcontroller.

i think that is not simple to write letters and make them move on the analyzer display --- good work
