i bought a acme attacker and have had nothing but problems with it. when it idles tires keep spinning and will not stop regardless of hsn or rpm needle and when i hit the breaks it wants to shut down. WHY? no matter what i do the car will not respond correctly. im 31 years old and have ran nitro cars before and have never had those type of problems. e hobbies or rc toy house will not help. i feel like i got ripped off and because of this i will never buy from those companys again.

@DONSHORTY420 Sounds like your clutch spring is broken.... Remove engine and then remove your clutch bell to check for a broken spring.... Had this problem on my Tornado s30...its an easy cheap fix though

i got a cen mg16 and when i first bought it i was running it on 16% nitro fuel but then after like 3 months i changed from 16% to 20% and when i changed i can't control my car. basically when i accelerate i can't stop my car it just takes off..

My HPI manual says it is better to stop the engine by closing the exaust pipe. If you press the fuel line the engine runs for a short time lean and this can damage your engine... Sorry for my bad english too

First of all, thanks ali, all of your vids have helped me a lot so far with the rc i got. (traxxas Revo 2.5) I am having problems with it though. It can be very hard to start(might just need a better glow plug), it will sometimes quit while idling, although very rare, and if i go fast , and then quickly go to a slower speed, the engine quits. Thanks for your help =D

Didnt realise somebody posted what I said below already. I might add that running the tank empty on a fresh engine is not a good thing either, the oil in the fuel is the engines only source of lubrication, same goes for the pinch test, starving the engine for fuel is not good, to shut the engine off just block the exhaust with a towel or your finger.

Always tune the hsn first, then tune the lsn, the hsn is the main flow for the engine, richening the hsn automaticly richens the lsn and vise versa, this video is not a good way to tune unless you like turning screws and self induced headaches.

I did the pinch test, and got it to cut out in 3-4 seconds, however, i get white smoke, is that normal, although it is fairly cold out, so the white smoke could just be like mist when you breathe out, but i dunno, any advise? oh ad the idle, i cant get it so the wheels dont spin, i keep turnin it slowly, and then it cuts out cos its so low and the wheels are still turning :/

While watching your video, i noticed your brakes are very fast!! My volcano s30 takes about 5-10 feet or even more (depending on how fast i am going) to stop my truck!, and it doesnt really stop it, it just slows it down to the point where it finally stops....is that how they should be?

I start my nitro buggy and i take the glow ignitor out sometimes it cuts, but when it doesn't cut it slowly rev it (not even past half throttle) and it cuts. other times i take the glow ignitor out let it idle then it slowly bogs down and cuts. CAN ANYONE HELP !?

yes it does have it spends alot of the time without the top and has the window screen cut out on the shell.and also even when its still quite rich(if i try to lean it a bit)it will cut out at full throttle and so i have to put it back and it spitts fuel out and a tank lasts like 6 muinits on idle let alone playing with it,would it be easier to get a new engine or do something to it,if there is something i can do please could you tell me....thanks

hey man... thanks for the vid...i have an exceed rc madworrior .28 nitro... i am a beginner and took the engine off since the pull start slipped into the engine... i fixed it but i think i messed something up... my idle speed is extremely high which is causing it to over heat.... and when i try to apply the breaks it stalls...it wont start when i adjust the throttle trim...what do u think i should do... thanks in advance :)

Well, strange why I'm not able to solve my problems with the RC car. It is true I'm new, but it should not be that complicated. today things were fine while doing the breaking in, the engine temp was fine, but it suddenly stopped after 7 min. I didn't turn on the engine again, but this evening it didn't turn on at all, I don't want to change the settings as things were fine. My RC is HSP 1:8 Sea Rover. Do you have any idea what is going on?
