Personally, I like the original song just the way it is. I'm not a big fan of remixes... It's like taking a Masterpiece and then having an amateur come and paint (very poorly) over the best parts of it. All that was beautiful about it- all the memorizing subtleties- are hidden underneath a speedy, generic techno beat.

Personally I like it sped up a bit, but tbh what Im really having trouble finding is a remix of imogen heap's hide and seek, with the "whatcha say" showing up as the chorus and being intertwined to make a comprehensive, enjoyable song. This, is basically just a techo'd version of the song. :s

I think artists are doing that because it's economics...music "artists" (and I use that term loosely with pop artists and even mainstream artists in general) they respond to supply and demand like everyone else. People's attention spans and patience have dwindled since the arrival of tv, video games, and pop music. They can only hold some people's attention a short amount of time...pop music practically requires a hook and heavy beat these days...
