They are heroes, the guys who go to the front lines. Me, I just send regular small amounts to Green Peace. Amazing quality video, again. Should be on the TV.
sure, machine, the site reflects the culture. but the rating function is one small area where we have a choice to refuse to participate in the quatifying, judging, ranking, etc., which feeds hierarchical systems.
it's stupid and meaningless, i know, but we get our subversion where we can find it. :P
wow thats passion and comittment... how many of us would put our bodies upon those gears and wheels? Non violence is the key, you dont stop a flood by adding more water to it, we have a saying here, ko au te awa, ko te awa ko au. I am the river, and the river is me. its amazing half a world away the exact same concept is used by another indigeneous people.
yes there are core common threads found in all indigenous cultures. i once did some work comparing folk tales from different cultures--the similarities were amazing, as the cultures had no interaction.
joseph campbell writes about these commonalities, as does jerry mander
my sense is that those core beliefs have more to do with what it truly means to be human than what industrial people say is 'human nature'--greed, violence, etc.
yes these are the questions the most advanced parts of our brain ask, who am i? how are we connected? Why am i Here? Whats after this? its not surprising that we came up with the same answers, I am energy, I am the Universe :) keep em coming :) great vids.
yes very sneaky, as you say, in ways that we don't even see
what they call 'terrorism' is really self-defense, defending the creatures and the trees and rivers that can't defend themselves against the neverending quest for more
thanks, oneinsignificant. your comment was significant :^)
as of when the three gorges dam (i.e. the abomination of desolation) was built, that's as of when
from wikipedia: "it is believed that overfishing, damming, and sub-aquatic sonar pollution (which interfered with the dolphin's sonar-based method of locating food), led to the extinction."
for years i puzzled over the passage in the book of daniel that says 'when you see the abomination of desolation, stand in the holy place.' now i know what it means.
ahh see, that's why i confuse people... i don't make esoteric refz as much as i do misspelt cultural slurs and wrongful atributions. i was asking if it was from the JudeoChrIslamic Bible or The Book of Daniel, which is a novel by E. L. Doctorow, not Herman Hesse. (was blurring hazy images of the later with "Damien" by H H, i think)
I'd like a retract on this second querri, if possible; being as i'd rather know about where th holy standing place is, 'coz it's getting desolate. Do NOT say Mecca.

i disable ratings because i feel that the whole rating system is a reflection of the culture of maximum harm
pennilesscripple 3 years ago
how so?
i agree that it is a reflection of the culture but isnt the whole site?

yeah, ur right. I guess the rating system is very judgmental.
I mainly use it as a "temporary favorites" window on my page lol.

fucking inspiring
ItsFilthy 3 years ago
glad to hear it
that was my intention
if people really knew what was going on, they wouldn't think 'there's no hope'
we just don't hear the real news
for example, the u.k. pigs estimated that there were an average of five animal liberations a day in the mid 90s

yeah...I really need to stop being so selfish, and such a chicken shit and start doing much, much more

well "civilisation" is based on the road
and the "freedom" it gives us..we,ve got
petrol prices running at the equivalent
of $12 a gallon..you should hear the squeals
of dismay from the SUV,ers ;)
lapislazuline 3 years ago
yeah being enslaved to car culture and all the unbelievable harm it has wrought/is wreaking is not 'freedom'
pennilesscripple 3 years ago
well you can tell just by the way people
become aggresive and pissed-off when
they,re driving..unatural stress

yangtze river dolphin, extinct or 'endangered'? as of when?
BIndeed 3 years ago
was declared functionally extinct in 2006
there was one sighting in 2007
as of when the three gorges dam (i.e. the abomination of desolation) was built, that's as of when
from wikipedia: "it is believed that overfishing, damming, and sub-aquatic sonar pollution (which interfered with the dolphin's sonar-based method of locating food), led to the extinction."
pennilesscripple 3 years ago
'round here we say "You owe us one species of dolphin."
China has yet to get back to us.
Abomination and dislocation station is right... that miserable shite pile has wrecked so much, it makes the TVA look like a winner.
Playlisted, i'll go sub to person indicated now.
Happy Dolphin Day!

Hey! waitaminute... you know where the holy standing place is? Is that from the Jehuidi Book of Daniel or the Hesse?

ahhhh
yeah i was trying to puzzle out the hesse connection
i was referencing daniel in the bible
to me the abomination of desolation is industrial civilization and the holy place is a place in the heart/soul/mind
