Thanks man! We have not been fshing since the day after Christmas. Weather has been horrible and I have a new job that's keeping me busy. Hopefully this weekend we can get after the again. I hope you get a big ol' fish soon!
Thats Rock fishing in a river... Thats more what I am use to where I am from in VA. I fish Lanier and have some over 20 but none over 30... What type of lures and bait do you guys use on these GA rivers???
h20hawgs, we're using gizzard shad in the summer and will also use trout when we transition to lake fishing in the winter.
Don't feel bad - just about all my friends have at least one striper over 30 (including my wife), but I'm stuck at 28. I had one that was probably well over 30 on that same river back in July but it just came unbuttoned after about 5 minutes. No line break, just managed to spit the hook. I let loose a stream of foul language for a good 15 minutes. :)
NICE! What size rod/lines are those? The rod looks really small.
