The double bass is AWFUL!!! And he's really not better now! He's a performer! Come on even a nearly deaf ape can hear that he isn't able to hold a rhythm. I saw him in July and it was a very good show but his drumming is not good!

Metallica is a great band, no question, but lars ulrich is not a good musician, just look at some of his videos, every good drummer will tell you the same... Metallica had to speed his doublebass up while recording in the studio because he can not play the doublebass constsntly and in the same rythm... do not attack me because of my opinion, have your own, its no problem.

Lars Ulrich is a great COMPOSER, ARRANGER and BUSINESSMAN. He has created more influential patterns for rock drummers than anyone else.

But as a drummer he just SUCKS. I'm a lousy drummer myself, but still I can play all that shit twice as good as him. Really.

Whoever says he's good simply doesn't know anything about drumming. It's that simple.
