Silva would destroy GSP, he's much bigger and hits harder. That being said, the WW division is stacked so GSP still has a lot of opponents. And Silva needs to give Sonnen a rematch.

@DestroyerAlexandros As much of a GSP fanatic i am i would have to agree with most of your comment. i wouldnt say "destroy" gsp cause lets not forget he is still the most explosive takedown artist, very good at BJJ and he has a strategy for every fight.. but anderson is much larger than gsp, hits much harder. and the WW division is much more stacked than middleweight. Silva needs to give sonnen a rematch after sonnen beats bisping.

Fedor is a heavyweight, at heavyweight the size difference is not such a big issue as in, say, lightweight. A 260 lbs heavyweight vs a 220 lbs heavyweight is a fair fight, it happens all the time. A 210 lbs heavyweight vs a 170 lbs lightweight would be a terrible mismatch. That's why in boxing anything from 200 lbs up is heavyweight, because the size gap is smaller at heavier.

@MrALItheGREATEST He's champ at his weight class. Part of his success is based on being bigger/taller/longer than his opponents, just like Anderson's. That's why GSP doesn't want any business with MW and Silva doesn't want any with Light Heavy. To be a multi-division champ you need some skills that translate literally, like Thomas Hearns' distance, James Toney's reflexes or Dan Henderson's toughness.

@gavidia1991 well, lets look at Sonnen/Silva fight. Sonnen was literally seconds away from being King of Kings. On the ground Sonnen(other than wrestling) is like a broom handle. GSP could get caught but i cant see him just standing there like all these other guys Silva KOs. Dont get me wrong, i think Silva is great standing up and his BJJ is very good but his take down D is not very good. The question we should think about is what happens for 75% of the fight cause its goin to go to the ground

I agree Silva is arguably the best P4P fighter but GSP is arguably the best athlete, take down artist and smartest MMA fighter. Say what you want but Silva does not have the greatest take down defence and thats what GSP is GREAT at. At first i didnt think it would be a good match but GSPs brain and athleticsm will make it a great match up.

Plus beat Dan and Rich also fight at 205 and beat them better than any of those 205ers did. The Silva vs GSP dream match is dead and the sooner people realize this the better. GSP doesn't want to leave WW and I don't lame him cause I think a few top MWs would beat him not just Silva. Silva vs Jones is a more popular superfight anyway but Jones has to defend his belt a few times first. By then Silva might be retired though but GSP doesn't want to go to MW. You can tell from his interviews. He just needs to come out and say it instead of skirting around.

Condit is huge frame wise but skinny. At MW, GSP being 5'10 he'd have to add too much weight on that would slow him down too much I'd imagine. He's got plenty of people left for him at WW and he still needs to work on stopping people and then maybe someday he'll try MW.

But Silva has run through a former LHW champion and big LHW in Forrest Griffin, he could easily be a HW, he walks around at like 250. Silva dropped him three times, KO'd him with a jab. I think Silva's speed, accuracy and unpredictable movement would give Cain problems on the feet. Cain will take him down, but I feel Silva will submit him or catch him coming in.
