Ohio state v. Michigan is the best rivalry because its been around forever constantly means who wins the big ten and in the past often meant who would be playing in the rose bowl for the national championship. Also both teams have played spoiler for each other so many times a win for other side can make or break a season just for the sake of winning it

I prefer pretty much every other major rivalry from SEC and Big 12 over that one. I just don't find Michigan Ohio State all that appealing.

yeah you're right, the fact they've met over 100 times, the fact that the winner usually wins the big ten and goes to the national championship, the fact that they're usually ranked in the top 15 when they meet, the fact that the best players in college football history have played in this game, and the fact that this rivalry is the biggest and has the most tradition makes it very unappealing.

It's just not my cup of tea is all. I don't particularly like Big Ten football compared to the SEC, Big 12, and Pac10.
Big deal. Ohio State/Michigan is big, but not appealing to me as an individual.
There are ALOT of people who would take my side as well across the country. Big Ten football and Ohio State/Michigan just not all that appealing.

@bigred2118 or the fact that Espn glorifies it....the sec has the most players in the nfl, the big 10 doesnt even have a conf. championship, so a team eases into the national championship game until they get destroyed by an sec team every year.....yeah that game, best players in college football history..hahaha

@pumpy25 where have you been the past 50 years? do u realize an SEC team hasnt been in the National Title game every year? The SEC was trash before around 2003. 5 SEC titles were won after 2003, and 7 before that were courtesy of alabama. Subtract that from the SEC total and you get a grand total of 5. To put that in perspective, Ohio State has 5 titles alone. ESPN isnt glorifying anything, its just their arrogant viewers who seem to think history doesnt matter. (PS the ACC has most NFL players)

@buckeyeboyh5 yeah i do, neither has a big 10 team, and if u want to pick yrs for favor of you biasness,i will too, i havent been alive for 50 years, but the ap/coaches poll which started in 1936, the sec has 18, oh btw fla,tn,and bama won one in the 90's. compared to 15 in the big 10, osu has won 1 in the past 40 yrs,the conf 4,7 in the last 50, to the sec 15 in the last 50, 13 in the last 40. O and u can subtract 2 bc Penn State wasn't in the big10 when they won theirs. but yes now bcs is 6-1

The vast majority of the SEC titles were one either by alabama, or after 2003. Other than alabama, the SEC has no history. People talk like the SEC has always been a powerhouse, but they haven't. they used to suck. So unless your an alabama fan, you can't even compare big ten history to SEC history.

@pumpy25 i only brought up the 2000's because thats recent. Its not history. And taking away that decade proves my point that the SEC just started their dominance. They haven't always been on top like you're trying to say. It would be different if i was just picking a random decade and discrediting it. And yes, you are catching on. With the exception of Minnesota, the rest of the big ten does suck (historically according to NC). Too bad i AM and Ohio State fan, and you AREN'T an Alabama fan.

Hey buckeyes, check the history of Michigan. Don't look the last few years and look at what Michigan did when it all started in the late 1800's and beyond! Ohio state is not even a factor in early or mid history! So without your punch happy coach, there is no history!
