I've had this phone for 5 years and its durable as hell, I've dropped it dozens of times. It has good radio reception and decent sound quality. The battery isn't that great anymore but for the first 3 and a half years it only needed charging once a week and that was with a lot of calls and texting.
There's really nothing fancy about that phone , but one thing you can't beat it for is battery life. I owned one and I could literally talk all day and the bar wouldn't budge.
@eckstea Yeah I had both the 6085 and the 6086 and in my opinion those phones are like BIC Lighters , they're disposable cell phones. They work real good for awhile but when they're done , they're done. I got 2 years out of the 6086 and 18 months out of the 6085 and they both died the same way. First the screen starts blinking then goes black. If you want a real good flip try the Nokia N75. Battery life isn't too red hot but it's a powerful device with loads of features. Check my video

@eckstea Well in my opinion I really don't think that there is any one cell phone that's better than the other. Although thier antennas come in various sizes, their function is pretty much the same , to enhance the signal and boost the phones capabilities. Alot of it has to do with your location , your building as you stated , the distance between your home and the nearest tower , are you on high ground / low ground and also your carrier. If you have Boost or Cricket your dead in the water
Those super cheap carriers that offer the best deals usually give you exactly what you pay for. Around here we call Boost Mex-Tel LMAO because all the illegals resort to that carrier because they don't ask for a SSN# or a credit check , as is with Cricket. But if you look at their coverage map , it looks like grape juice splashed on a white dress IE more white that blue. I would say stick to Nokia and Samsung , I've never had any luck with Motorola. And go with AT&T , T Mobile or Verizon.

Hi, how do you adjust the main display's brightness and contrast? I have problems with my display and I cannot really see the pictures I took with the camera.
The camera is so bad that I never ever use it and I haven't had any problems with the screen being too bright. But I just looked through the manual and I have no idea how to adjust it.
I dont know why yours doesn't move on to the next song unless the songs are in separate folders or you aren't using the music player but are just finding the files and hitting play. Go to {Media>Music Player} and then find the files you want to play... this has given me no problems yet.

After a year with this phone, I am having trouble seeing the screen in direct sunlight because of the little specks of sand and lint under the screen.
IDK about yours but mine has the best battery life of any phone I've ever owned. I have unlimited minutes and I talk for hours and the battery just refuses to die.

This is a fantastic phone - it does what it says on the box. The memory is a bit crappy I haven't tried it with a memory card so I don't know what affect it has. Very strong - I have dropped it so many times and all the visible damage is a few scratches. The camera isn't amazing but it is good enough. It charges up pretty quickly. I will be sad to replace it but nothing can beat a LG Cookie!!!! Great review by the way! Fantastic first phone for kids
i still have this phone. i have dropped this phone in the lake about 4 times and dropped it from many buildings.. and the only things wrong with it are instead of dimming when it goes to turn off the screen it flashes like lightening. but i do not mind that that all. i think its actually pretty cool. and the other thing is well the top of the phone and the back of the phone dont stay on hardly anymore lol. but i think its a great phone. its definatly very durable :)

DO NOT get the Nokia 6085 it will start doing a problem over time where the screen WILL start flashing Blue that is on the inside of the phone. Then it will freeze blue and will not come up mine did this recently and i bought a unlocked sidekick 3
When you're taking a video go to options, then go to settings. When you get there scroll down to Video clip length and set it to maximum instead of default.

The nokia 3555 isnt too bad... it is a little bit bulky but it has better buttons than the 2660 and has the same interface as both of the nokia phones. The other phone I would look in to if you dont text is the Samsung a436
The camera is just a VGA camera... so not so great. But the colors and contrast are alright... but the resolution negates that so don't rely on it for a camera.
I actually have it with Cincinnati Bell, which uses att&t network connections. I have no idea if it will or not, but the general idea of unlocking a phone is that it will work on another network.

All micro sd cards should work... i would go to gallery first and then see if it shows up. if not I don't know what is up... see if you can format it through a friends phone then insert it in to yours. (oh and make sure you inserted it the right way up... my friend screwed that up once)
Oh. Now I see what I did wrong. You have to push the micro SD card all the way in with a knife or flat head screwdriver until it clicks in place. I thought that the micro SD door would push it in. Oops. I'm all good now. Thanks.
Its about 1/2 and inch wide and thin. If you knew what sort of dell you had you could just look it up on their website, or you could read your manual that came with the computer, instead of asking.
NO, not in the USB slot. Most computers do NOT have a slot for a micro SD, although some new ones have a regular SD card slot. All micro SD cards come with an adapter to make it fit into a regular SD card slot. Like eckstea said, if you don't have an SD card slot, then you need a USB card reader which looks just like a thumb drive you slide the SD card into and then stick it into a USB port. Hope that helps.

They were lying to you, the phone may come with a program that I do not know about, but my phone has no way of watching youtube or any other sorts of video. And it definitely can not go on line to the real internet, just to some really crappy cell phone pages.
Its not bad... like I said, it was the best free phone out there when I reviewed it, and I haven't seen them get that much better. It is better than the Samsung equivalent due to its calling features.
what is the t9 texing like? i have an older nokia now where if you want to switch words you have to go into the menu, which is very annoying. so i was wondering if you have to do that on this phone as well, or if you can switch words by pressing the up/down button like a lot of newer phones.

For a music player the sound quality is good, but the bass is a bit weak. The phone however is a bit weaker due to a slightly underpowered antenna, but the speaker phone makes up for that.
i hate this phone!!! ive had it since november and i just hate it! the screen is so small and texting is ridiculus. the only good things about it is that the battery is good and i dropped it onto concrete like 7 times and it hasnt broken or scratched yet
I LOVE this phone! If you're a heavy texter as I am it's GREAT! The only complaint I have is the mono outer display screen. That kinda sucks. But..I had a SEw580i and it was a POS! Keys cracked after just 2 months of use and absolutely NO internal memory. Gave it up for this phone and so glad I did.
Good review.. Altough I disagree with you. I have this phone for over a year and i'm not thrilled with it. The only thing I can agree with is that it is cheap and absolutely unbreakable! It is as good and big as a brick, today most phones are thin. My second claim is that it has nothing new to oofer, all the functions that you named can be found in other phones, and believe it or not, even cheaper ones. And also The speaker sucks. All of my family purchased this phone and are not happy with it.

Its not bad... like I said, it was the best free phone out there when I reviewed it, and I haven't seen them get that much better. It is better than the Samsung equivalent due to its calling features.

what is the t9 texing like? i have an older nokia now where if you want to switch words you have to go into the menu, which is very annoying. so i was wondering if you have to do that on this phone as well, or if you can switch words by pressing the up/down button like a lot of newer phones.

Im not sure seeing as I do not text, my brother finds it pretty easy, and there is no menu involved its just a simple press of the * key.

i need an opinion, im getting this phone because i need a new phone and a music player, quality isnt much of a problem to me but i dont want a continues crackling noise. how is the overall sound quality

For a music player the sound quality is good, but the bass is a bit weak. The phone however is a bit weaker due to a slightly underpowered antenna, but the speaker phone makes up for that.

i hate this phone!!! ive had it since november and i just hate it! the screen is so small and texting is ridiculus. the only good things about it is that the battery is good and i dropped it onto concrete like 7 times and it hasnt broken or scratched yet

Yes.
Open your camera feature.
Left click options.
Go down to settings, click it.
Go down to Camera Sounds, click on it and then choose on or off.

I LOVE this phone! If you're a heavy texter as I am it's GREAT! The only complaint I have is the mono outer display screen. That kinda sucks. But..I had a SEw580i and it was a POS! Keys cracked after just 2 months of use and absolutely NO internal memory. Gave it up for this phone and so glad I did.

Voice mail setups are normally done through the cell phone provider, so I really don't know.

belive me i tried it but not many calls on the way
and i love the speaker mp3 because it one of the strongest ones..
exept for the nokia 5200 that haves a very xstrong speaker by the way great review

Good review.. Altough I disagree with you. I have this phone for over a year and i'm not thrilled with it. The only thing I can agree with is that it is cheap and absolutely unbreakable! It is as good and big as a brick, today most phones are thin. My second claim is that it has nothing new to oofer, all the functions that you named can be found in other phones, and believe it or not, even cheaper ones. And also The speaker sucks. All of my family purchased this phone and are not happy with it.

My speaker sucks... It might have been strong or good at the begining, but for some reason after a while it became suck... Now I can barely hear when calling.

Not a bad review, but I would hesitant calling it the best free phone. The only reason I got it was because of the $125 rebate from Amazon. I was paid $125 to use this phone :) Not a bad deal.
