Now, on the other hand the bigest cruise ship in the world is Freedom of the Seas. That ship is 1,012 feet long. Oh and by the way you're so lucky that you got to see the Queen Mary 2. :)

Freedom is only wider and weights more.
You have to be careful how close you take your boat near a boat that big. You can get sucked in by the sheer pressure around it. It almost happened to me and my grandma in Oslo once and we had motor problems at the time and was relying on sails to get out of the way.

Naw! The horns they put on the QM in Long Beach are a joke! The QM2 has 1 of her mothers horns, and the others are replicated. I wonder where the QM's horn was stored for those many years before QM2.

Also - the Qm2 is not a cruise ship - it is an ocean liner. The ships built by RCL cannot meet the demands of a transatlantic schedule.

actually one of the horns on the QM2 is an original from QM. The other was new and the QM retains 1 original.
