@hullfcaregreat The sides of a coke can are made from Galvanized steel and the top from aluminium this is because you wouldn't be able to open your can with a hard metal like galvanized steel BUT galvanized steel is cheaper as aluminium thats why only the top is made from aluminium and you can only do this trick on the top.
You can indicate aluminium with a magnet. Aluminium is non magnetic which isn't usual for a metal. Like copper, steel, iron etc are all magnetic.
@CrEaTiVePyroScience Nothing is non magnetic. Aluminum IS magnetic, just very very very very very very poorly magnetic. My skin is magnetic. Only very very very very very very very very very very poorly. So is yours. Everything is magnetic. Even water.
The difference between aluminum and water is you can notice water being attracted to a magnet from the naked eye. IF you have a thin stream of water coming out of a sink, and put a magnet: BOOM! The stream bends toward the magnet.
@Utopastoo You clearly dont understand the difference of magneticity between aluminium and iron is "very very very very very very" huge. You just can't lift aluminium with a magnet, That's just nitpicking. I just said it do identicate aluminium.
@CrEaTiVePyroScience Sure you can't lift aluminum foil with a magnet, that's because the aluminum is too poorly magnetic! Search things before saying them please.
