theres no way to bomb proof a plane. considering its an enclosed area. the pressure would need somewhere to go, essentially its like lighting a fire cracker and making a fist around it. pressure has to go somewhere.
@Rdlerke There is air enterring and leaving an aircraft all the time. I believe the requirement is that the whole aircraft has to have an air change every 2 minutes. So ''bomb proofing' a plane, is just about containing the explosion so that the blast can be released over a longer time frame (probably several seconds) so that it can be released without holing the fuselage.

They probably can make a plane bomb proof, but what about the kinetic force from the impact? How can they absorb that. Even though the plane might not be damaged, it will make thinks a lot more difficult for the pilot. Either they make something to absord the force, or train pilots to become better at these situations.
I agree. They should do it Mythbusters style. Show the actual speed or the explosion in different camerca angles and Then do the slow motion.
I'm not sure comparing this to a bomb in a bunker is really it though. I was talking more about, "Sure, you can keep all the shrapnel and,maybe, heat from getting you, but what about that massive amound of wind and inertie getting ready to knock your plane of course. Sort of like Massive Turbulence, you get what I mean?
True. Plus, on Man Vs. Wild, they say he's alone. In a few episodes I've seen though, the cameraman is walking behind him and he sometimes makes a blunder that Bear has to help him with.
