Iraq has been going on for 7 years, Saddam is dead but the insurgency contintinues and, it will until occupying armies leave. Iraq and Afghanistan were conquered long ago I'll agree, but they will never have the kind of gov't that the western world wants them too. It won't work and in my opinion I don't think anymore of our soldiers should die over there.

NOW, they have modernised AKMs with silencer, Red dot scope and they dont need granade launcher because in the RPG 9 are fabricated under license by thousands each year. Iraq has been going on for 7 years, Saddam is dead but the insurgency contintinues and, it will until occupying armies leave. Iraq and Afghanistan were conquered long ago I'll agree, but they will never have the kind of gov't that the western world wants them too. It won't work and in my opinion I don't think anymore of our soldiers should die over there.

@submariner200: People in Cuba look much healthier than in the U.S, almost no obesity or 'eating disorders'. They struck me as a very happy and festive people. Cuba is far from perfect. But those who defect know that the U.S government will practically give them a mansion, citizenship in a year, a $50 and hour job, unlike the rest of the barrio people. This will only happen so long as the Cuban Revolution remains. If it goes, you'll see how quick the U.S will be to allow Cubans to immigrate.

@hectorbolshevik Of course Obesity is not going to be a factor because there is no food to eat,the cuban daily diet is based on soy beans,there is no meat,there is no milk for the kids older then 7,there are not even cake for birthdays which parents have to hussle to find whenever there is a birthday,people that defect are not looking for a mansion,they are looking for the freedom they are lacking in Cuba,such as freedom of assembly,freedom of speech all of those are lacking in Cuba.

@Marck0939 Nine years to fight in afghanistan against unorganized insurgents with AK's and no technology like the US. 7 years in Iraq against insurgents with IED's and AK's. The greatest army in the world hasn't "freed" these people yet. The people don't want us there. They don't want what were selling. It's time to leave and rebuild our economy, and then worry about the rest of the world. They have won. lets just keep them out of North America.

The U.S can't even save the jobs or homes of Americans, much less provide a paradise to 2 countries that they've destroyed with bombs, and killed tens of thousands. Iraqis and Afghans know this, plus the true reason for the U.S occupying them.
