Please do consider having another greyhound. You are never replacing your previous one - but giving a home, love and kindess to another one who would be so grateful for your love. We are on our third greyhound and loved each one for their differences. There are so many that deserve your help.

I think all dogs are great, I've always been a 'doggy' person. However, greyhounds, since the minute I clapped eyes on one as a kid, have captivated me...they are just the best ever dog ever....funny isn't it cos there's people who drool the way I do over greyhounds over other breeds like rotties, staffies and dobermans etc. however none of those breeds seem to have the same almost spiritual magic of the greyhound..if that sounds insane, then call me insane.. Greyhounds Rule!!!!!

That's awesome! We had a greyhound a few years back but he got bone cancer and we had to put him down. He was only five I think. I still miss him. Seeing yours, I was laughing at how they are! We only had one so I never really got to see that they do a lot of the same things and ours wasn't just a weirdo:) I was like, wow, when they lay down all of em must show their teeth and have their tongues hanging out the sides of their mouths! Thanks for the video, it brought back a lot of good memories!

Yeah its normal :) my greyhound has his tongue sticking out a lot. It just drops out of their mouth when theyre relaxing and its gets so dry that they cant put it back in again XD Its so funny to catch them like that.

Love your video...so nice to see them resting and at peace. To address a few comments...Greyhounds are from Egypt but were called Pharoah hounds. A solid color and were regarded with much respect. They are loyal and were used to guard the tombs of kings. The English came along and started to breed them with Pit Bull ( the brindle markings ) and now you have the Greyhound. They wanted them to be more aggressive. In the beginning of racing them...they tied monkeys to their backs. Shameful !!!!

Definitely okay for people with asthma. My daughter is highly allergic to dogs/cats, has asthma, and we've had 2 greyhounds, one of which even slept with her, with no problems. They're one of the few dogs that people with allergies can have with no reaction.

I have a lurcher and she is the most laid back insanely lazy dog on the planet, but every day she has a mad 1/2 hour where she just runs from room to room being a silly puppy. I would never live without a lurcher or greyhound in my life now. Your dogs are so cool. Typical greys.

If you go through an adoption group, expect to pay anywhere from 250-300 USD. Also, groups are very particular about who they adopt to. I got Jack and Orion through the SPCA, so I got lucky- at the time, I was renting from someone and didn't have my own house- they called my *landlord* to get the OK. So make sure you have proper facilities first. Read up on greyhounds before you adopt.

There are two things I love about this video:

1- The fourth dog doesn't even pick up it's head when you walk in with the camera. The ultimate lazy greyhound!

2-The tongue! My grey does that when he falls alseep too. I'm still amazed at how long it takes my boy to realize it once he wakes up.
