  • see what about the ears thats not hthe ears go back to the picture of billy as a kid with the othet kid who is that? it has to be brushy not billy u think billy the kid is gonna make it that easy ? its a joke the face matches with the photo of the two boys the one sittign down is

  • Poll: Vote up if you Do not believe Ollie L. Roberts Brushy Bill was Billy the Kid

  • Poll: Vote up if you think Ollie L. Roberts Brushey Bill was in fact Billy the Kid

  • that's tighter than dickskin, man

  • Brushy said he was part of the james gang and was friends with the fake jesse james, If he was billy the kid, he must have only done that to see how Jesse would be received, as a determination of him attempting his "truth" and pardon.

  • one of the places he was hit was in his jaw. Brushy Bill had no scars on his face, or his jaw, so if he was shot in the jaw, he would have had serious scarring?! Billy was very reckless at times, but he was not stupid! if he had heard that Garrett was closing in on him and that night he hears gunshots coming from Pete Maxwell's house, i dont think that even the Kid would be stupid enough to stick around and have a shootout when he wouldnt have stood a chance, even with his marksman skills!

  • just so you know, the claim of having the same scars was not at all substantiated. Brushy Bill did have scars, of course, but he never had any that were proven to be bullit wounds at all, and the Kid had a very differently shaped facial structure, as well as body structure than Brushy Bill. also, Brushy Bill claimed that it was his friend who was killed, obviously not him and after he heard the gunshots, he himself had a shootout with Garretts deputies and he was hit a couple times

  • Sir if you would DO what you say. Read ALL the reports. The reports state that the deputies feared for their lives that night because they had shot him right in the middle of his stomping grounds, also that the mexicans wept and mourned him not just that night but well after the smoke cleared. As for Roberts, there are newspaper clippings of him elsewhere along side a proven imposter saying he rode with the james gang. and the pictures of him when he was young, they look nothing alike.

  • Historians said that "Brushy Bill" Roberts new things about the Lincoln County War that they themselves did not know.

  • hell yea homie dat waz him in tha flesh.

  • if he wasnt billy the kid maybe he was billy the kids brother that he never met

  • It's pretty compelling- in comparing the photos of the two, experts have pointed out the extremely close resemblance.. and as others have mentioned- the scars, the other people recognizing him as Billy etc. etc. Hard to fake all that.

  • I think that they were the same person Brushy knew stuff that only very few historians knew and was hard to find at that time and if Brushy wasnt Billy the kid...who was he?

  • Good question. If he wasn't actually Billy, he could have been just a fanatical wannabe (they were out there, even in his day).. Brushy wasn't the only one who claimed to be the Kid- there were others- but IMO Brushy was by far the most convincing

  • Yea and I heard he had all of Billy 's scars from bullets and knives (and more)

and it wasn't like he really wanted to be famous like the others Hell he met Morrison in secrecy

  • True, a) If he was a fake, how did he get the matching scars..? b) Brushy was reluctant at first to talk about it; when he 'came out' it was too late, not handled well, and unfortunately died soon after c) some people seemed to recognize him as Billy

  • Yea, This one guy on the street saw. Brushy his name was Henry Anthony and he was with his two sons he yelled at brushy calling him Billy bonney and told him to put his hands up and from tnat day on he swore Brushy was Billy

  • very interesting

  • my grandad and great uncle lived in hico and heard his stories and my uncle wrote a song about him

  • Your grandad and great uncle- what did they think? Did they believe Ollie Roberts was the 'real deal'?

  • they sure do.

  • yes they did
