  • That was utterly amazing!

  • The best cover of radiohead that i seen on youtube! =)

  • FUCK THAT'S AMAZING!

  • This is awesome. Must have been a nightmare to get the timing correct considering the speed of sound and how far away each of the performers were.

  • this brings tears to my eyes...

  • The performance was pretty sloppy at some points, but man was the arrangement awesome!

  • this is my favorte

  • shit

  • dude..why can't i see something like this?

  • it's unbelievable the effect that album's had on the world...

  • seen the grammys and it reminded me of this vid! havent seen it in ages! these guys rock!

  • That's so fucking awesome I can't speak.

  • lol nice "OK" formation

  • This is fucking amazing. I was so surprised that I could recognize the song when it started.

  • wow thats fucking amazing

  • wow! our Hs band did this for a radiohead field show..., paranoid, creep, and some other song...

amazing work guys... the time sigs in each piece are crazy annoying

  • What is the name(s) of the song(s) they're playing from Radiohead?

  • this one is Airbag and Paranoid Android

  • I don't know why people are on here saying these guys are off in some way - they are spot on! Sounds like some jealousy to me. This is an amazing performance! It just drips of paranoia and frenzy. It embodies the very themes radiohead was addressing with the song. Sublime!

  • Hey I'm radiohead fans, and also a marching band player too!!!

    I'm impressed, nice video indeed!!

  • extraordinary

  • Wow far from mainstream kudos to UofA for doing that. I'm sure 99% of the crowd would be like what the hell is this song?

  • okay.

so airbag was nothing short of amazing, true?

    paranoid android was that tenfold.

    !!!

  • WHOAH!!!

omgomgomg im so telling my instructor!

  • NO. FAIR.

    no no no no. fair.

  • really good job u guys are great

  • I love the cadence echo sound.

  • doesn't it sound like the raptures in the jurasic park movies?

  • amazing!

  • Perfect

  • orgasmic.

  • Rain Down Segment to Climax was badass.

  • YES!!

    Love it!!

  • wow

  • YES.

  • WOW this blows my mind!

  • That was incredible!

  • radiohead in james bond version?!

  • that looked amazing

  • prolly-

For Idiots who cannot spell probably correctly use this version.

    Example-

I am prolly stupid because I cannot spell probably.

  • prick

  • you know, it really makes you wonder -

if you apparently think what you do about the marching band, what would you be doing watching one?

you know? why wouldn't you just blow it all off?

  • I personally like 3rd segment the most, but they are all amazing...

  • WOW. That is awesome!

  • Check out Teardrop Part 2 by the Pride of Arizona: 4/4, 3/4, 11/8

  • Nice

my band is a high school band though, so none of the crazy shit that drum corps does.

check out some videos from 2005,2006, and 2007 if that one is up yet.

    Governor Livingston High School

    2005 and 2006 ACC champs

  • it's a rehearsal no?

  • correct

  • Oh my god. that was fucking amazing. Part of ok computer is in 7/4 try marching to that!

These people have my utmost respect. jesus christ that was so damn cool

  • It's not tuning....he's pushing it sharp trying to play loud.

  • ...a key technique for a pro musician

  • Tuning......my god find some tuning!

  • tunings fine retard

  • Really? Check again.

  • Nice...The lines need to be a bit straighter and The tones need to be equalized (embouchure tuning) but very awesome.

  • grea intervals even though its far away, and the feet look with each other with step offs and step downs. The dynamic contrast is good but the unity of the tone isn't all the way there but their headed down that road and you can really tell. Great potential flags look amazing great drill formation. They just need to work on note analyzation I guess you can say bring out a little more in the beginning to give it more "pop".

  • but it was composed really well and i loved it -super powerful formations near the end and really great execution

  • uhhh that trumpet sucks. flat, horrible tone, fucked up a billion notes...

  • this is amazing. I love Marching Band, and I love radiohead. Beautiful

  • I can't tell enough people how insanely great this is. So refreshing, so absolutely mindblowing. Thanks

  • that is how you play a cover version.

i love radiohead, and that upheld their skill in composition while at the same time becoming something more.

    very good.

  • Epic.

    Nice Bari-Sax at 3:30

  • Very interesting band formations.

  • I love the way the band spells out "OK". This is great!

  • good show that bands about three times bigger than mine

  • this almost made me cry.

I want to use the word terrific, but that word sucks.

Airbag was the first radiohead song I ever heard and the one I felt powerful enough about to start tracking down their music.

And holy shit, HORNS! who would've thought.

    This is wonderful.

  • U OF A!

  • wow the woodwinds sounds so good they aree usually neglected in marching bands but they sound good here!

  • That was my section :) Thanks for noticing!

  • u know its beautyfull, just charmed me... The wark u have done is amazing i dont even know how to express it, i just love radiohead

  • Go Wildcats!!! :D...

  • Beautiful! My daughter is in marching band in high school and I wish they would do this. I listen to ok computer over and over at work all day long,God,Im lovin this!

  • I'm a former Drum Corp member, so naturally i'm not a Marching Band fan, but VERY COOL SHOW TWO thumbs up! BIG PROPS.......

  • Oo and btw kool vid. =]

  • OMFG!!! Dang my marching band does NOT have even close to that MANY people!!! And isn't that a chor band? [Sorry for my spelling]

  • haha, we are not a choir band, but we have so many people, that all of us singing makes us all balance out. We are doing a "Tears for Fears" show this year, and yes, there will be sinigng.

  • Holy crap! I almost cried. RH is one of my favorite bands ever. Paranoid Android was fantastic!

  • How would you even invent and then teach a routine like that?! Brilliant. I'm new to Tucson but that made me proud :-D

  • No. It's Airbag. Then part of Paranoid Andriod

  • Amazing. Paranoid Android right?

  • Very "brave" of the their director to try something different.

  • Wow, absolutely astonishing and mind boggling. I never once imagined my favorite band translated so creatively, and with style. Being from Flagstaff I will always be a lumberjack but mad props to the wildcat marching band-unbelievable.

  • This has nothing to do with the video but I was just thinking of Flagstaff today. I was wondering how it got its name. I think there was a council meeting and one guy said, 'Hmmm... You know what I think are the shit...?'

  • that was amazing

  • O_O

    i'm speechless...i don't know what to say...

  • whats the first song?

  • hehe cool, like it never heard airbag like that :D

  • there is probably a time delay depending on where they are on the feild too, they might be guiding off that and there is a delay there or a dely to get it up to the press box, but its a good band, I will say that

  • Nicole.... Nicole Lipford? this you?>

  • dont ever dis UA.

  • The audacity!

  • Once a-gain, eBay my dear.

  • Got lost a bit during the performance, lost some of the tune, but that is really impressive - shame it's for an american football game though :)

  • i saw you at BOA and you had some serious phasing issues, but otherwise amazing

  • Guide left !!!! lol

  • GUIDE CENTER.

  • sorry

  • F*ckin awesome!

  • this totally makes me miss marching band! good thing we start next week ;]

    GO TRUMPET LINE!!

  • that is y i love marching band

  • oh my god this makes me miss marching band SO MUCH!

  • scary!!! but oddly interesting/brilliant! musta taken ages! bet the football fans hated it!

  • I hope they all got some accolade for all the work they put in. Sooo impressed!

  • bEST THING I'V SEEN ON U TUBE... FUKIN BRILLIANT!

  • WOW ! That was .. WOW ! Albsolutly brilliant. It's also in those moments that you see when a song is a masterpiece and the last part of Paranoid Android with : «Rain down, rain down etc.» is clearly a masterpiece. The part in 7/4 too .. Just WOW. Congradulation the Band Day who also did a wonderful job.

  • Haha I cant belive people actually slated this! Contragtualations to the band that was awesome!

  • I am so excited to be a part of that this next year.

  • OMG THIS IS FREAKING AMAZING!! O.O My marching band is like, 1/20 of that! But we've never been to competitions or anything because we suck and are too lazy to put in any effort.. except a few. It makes me mad! >:(

  • Fuckin Wow......I love radiohead and this.....this is awsome.....Paranoid Android is one of my favorite songs by them,...."For a minute There I Lost my Self!".....

  • by the way the lyrics at the end of your comment is KARMA POLICE you dumbass not PARANOID ANDROID get it right

  • No need to get your panties in a twist.

  • holy shit this is fucking amazing, the last minute was friggin epic! bloody brilliant job

  • The band is around 270 or so (including guard, twirlers, and poms).

  • OK!!!!!!

  • woooa! nothing to say :O wow. Radiohead . best.

  • but what a huge sound

  • Great songs! How big is this band? Looks tiny

  • wow...I love the glorification of radiohead

    Best band ever

  • Loved the "rain down" section of Paranoid Android. Good stuff.

  • you guys have a lot of people r u in A,B,C, or D class?

  • I do not think college bands are put into classes according to size.

  • most driving vorsion of Airbag I've ever heard/ Paranoid android kicks ass, nice medley

  • why are people bashing these guys? i think its awesome! some of the formations were a little wacky.. but i cant imagin how good that would sound with a stadium full of people!?!? thats awesome stuff people lets hear more!

  • Furthermore... give the criticism a rest. The whole marching band genre is a bit whacked out (I did it and taught it). At least, this marching band is doing something CREATIVE. For those making comments about marching out of time - remember there is a time delay between the camera and the band.

  • This is better than the performance(despite what the poster describes). The excellent arrangement(polyphony of the different sections) can be heard much clearer than with a stadium full of yahoos cheering for the footbal team.

Saw RH lat summer in Budapest and they opened with this tune - Airbag. Awesome, Thom was shaking the sleigh bells!

  • i dont care what everyone else says, i thought it was pretty cool. and keep in mind, ITS A FRICKEN REHEARSAL.

  • this marching band sucks

  • lol, yeah. the arrangement is really good, and some parts of the drill are pretty amazing, but this band sounds like shit. it's just like, "HEY, CHECK OUT OUR TESTOSTERONE AND COCK AS I RUB OUR FUCKING METAL IN YOUR FACE" pretty much. no intonation. balance sucks. out of tune. solos are shaky. whatevs. still fun, I guess.

  • speechless. fuking great....

  • I've no idea what this is to do with or what it's all about and I'm from England and only clicked this from a Radiohead video, but the intro (Airbag) sent shivers down my spine. It suited the horns so well.

    Nice upload.

  • there is a point for comments... just because they arent all good comments doesnt mean were bashing... and justso you know.. it is out of time, the formations need alot of help, little phasing isues, the tuning is wretched... mainly because they are not focused on their pitch but playing loud... it has nothign at all about "bashing" ....

  • I don't understand how people can say the marching is out of time when you care barely see the legs and feet! Yeah the forms are not all there and the drill could be more exciting (crowd pleasing) but other than that it is very amusing to watch.

  • WOW!!

  • Some people just can's be pleased, can they. This looks impossible so shut the fuck up. How can anyone complain that the marching was out of time? Who cares?

  • That's awesome.

  • I heard that thier lips bleed after the show because they are playing so loud. (I'm not bashing them for playing loud.)

  • thats called poor execution of air

  • i love how it spelt ok i wish our band was big enough to do that

  • I'm so sad... I can't do band in high school. I'm such a band geek. To the max. I absolutely LOVE marching band. It's amazing.... this was so cool

  • Wow, you really suck. Don't know whose fault it is. But this isn't very good. Out of line, out of time, out of here. My ears are hurting.

  • eat. a. dick.

  • wow dick.out of line?

  • that was radical

  • Addressing the issues of sound... unfortunatly when this was recorded, the stadium was empty except for the small group on the upper left corner. The camera is placed halfway up the west stands with a 5 story press box on top. The sound just stays inside the 'bowl' creating some nasty tuning issues and dynamic problems. Its not necessarily the band, you have to factor in the stuff they cannot control.

  • I wouldn't care how loud they played, it's freaking Radiohead. This is insane!

  • this is so awesome i want to cry

  • too loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dynamics? ever heard of em... besides thats a big flippin danb

  • geesh, its thing called DYNAMICS! use em

  • Wow, for a university, you are so out of line. You are terrible, sorry.

  • So much better than michigan. they just sound like a badly done rip-off.

  • Check this out!! CONSIDERING THEIR AGE, this is the best marching show of all-time. While most couldn't play, or just plain sucked at this age. This group drills in formations and plays well. They have it together (And yes, some will end up at Nishihara HS in a few more years just to put you to sleep). But, Check it out! Ishigaki Elementary Marching Band.

  • omg their marching is horible. sorry to say but it is true. and they sound like shit.

  • HOLY CRAP! my dream show...

  • u guys need to chill and enjoy the video!!

  • f u maktbone dumbass

  • amazing...

  • This is a college band not high school

  • Wow, The marching is terrible. Sorry but true. At this distance, it is still so obvious. The guard is so off too. If you want to see the best high school band with great marching and a horn line that "triples" much of the score, and flags that are so together, check out Nishihara Marching Band 2001 show. In Fact, kakazu marching band marches better and they are junior high.

  • Nobody cares about your high school band. You do realize that the main performance venue for a collegiate marching band is a football game--in this case a division 1A stadium that on game day will hold nearly 60,000 people, right? That many people won't see your juvenile band in an entire season.

  • that's a university jackass! duh

  • 1st, it's not my band, I just saw them, and 2nd they as a high school are better and much tighter at drill, guard, and brass articulation than your university performance here (period). 3rd at 31 years of age, you should have learned by this time to stop using demeaning terms about young teenagers just to make yourself feel better.

  • I posted another band just for you. Hopefully you don't say any bad comments about these 7 to 12 year olds. CONSIDERING THEIR AGE, this is the best marching show of all-time. While most couldn't play, or just plain sucked at this age. This group drills in formations and plays well. They have it together (And yes, some will end up at your favorite Nishihara HS in a few more years). But, Check it out! Ishigaki Elementary Marching Band.

  • It would be much appreciated if you would stop using the popularity of this band to plug Nishihara. You've made it very clear several times why you dislike this band. We get and we don't care. Your not saying anything constructive, so please stop posting 'this band sucks, look at this one.' Besides, they style of both bands is different. Nishihara go for precision, Arizona goes for entertaining. Only idiots compare bands who try to achieve different goals.

  • Alvin, I'm sorry if I wrote this wrong. But after reading it again, I think that I was sharing Ishigaki Elementary Marching Band. And I was being quite nice, I was obviously joking about "the" high school. You're 23 and can drink. Relax, have a beer, and enjoy music. P.S. - I don't hate any band. A band can have a (what I consider, and others might like, and vise versa) bad show, But that doesn't make the people bad. Now go grab that beer; that's what college is all about (it was 25 years ago)!

  • Good point. Oh...wait...Nishihara makes me fall asleep. Too bad.

  • Chip, I got your comment, and I'm sure that the kind words about their talent that you wrote will make them happy. The selection of music isn't as much their concern. They just play whatever the teacher says.

  • Yeah. But in all fairness, the video here doesn't really do the UA justice. If lots of people were there, the sound wouldn't ricochet everywhere, and this run-through was done at the end of a rehearsal.

  • i personally think the beginning coulda been done a little faster.. just a little. and yeah i dont think its the best musically, but its cool for sure.
