many's the time i'd come off playing on the road and head for the smoke house in LA and listen to Ron play with a lady piano player/singer and bass player.he was playing a De Angelico guitar.i taped them a lot.he wasn't a flashy player. just pure taste,and more interested in the total sound of the group.i learned from listening to Ron that music is more important than pyrotechnics.i never approached RON
