No, Dan Brown is fine. He teaches a begginer's method, so it obviously won't be as fast as a speedsolving method. Someone with no cubing expiereince can't just jump into an advanced method; intermediate maybe, but not advanced. They have to start somewhere. Something about the way he explains just works for begginers.

Yea instead of looking for cases you should look for pairs.

pretty good; The cube with only a few stickers is a very good teaching tool in F2L because i find that newbies are confused by all the colors - i was trying to get something like it for a while now.

As for some constructive criticism: I think the frequent cuts made it a little confusing at times, and it wasn't exactly clear what was different in the cube from cut to cut.
