Did anyone see John signed the paper? I tryed to slow the video down and all he did was touch the pen. From 4:13 to 4:15. Was there a cut out from the video or did he just not want to sign it.

Yes, he's implying that drugs are bad, and that society is putting oppression on us which constraints us so much that we feel that need to consume these drugs which ultimately numbs life in a whole for us. There is a much stronger implication that drugs are useful (so that we can tolerate society). Of course not many would deny that a permanent drug binge is 'bad'. But I suppose its impossible to know what he really thinks. Implications are ambiguous at best.

John's son, Julian, made a drawing of one of his friends called Lucy where she's floating with diamonds in her hair. John thought it was great and made a song out of it. Lucy died about a year ago from cancer.
