You need a "hip hugger" basket...they are awesome! I live upstairs and sometimes hang out clothes on the line and it makes it sooo much easier to move around with the basket and have a free hand!

re: TV - they *do* make universal remotes for TVs that have lost 'em.
Re: mosquitoes -- those kind are called "flying teeth" by the Latin community. If you come to Florida, be sure to have one of those with you as well! ...and it sounds like you're allergic to them. That "bruising" is a sign! (I get that way around Hornets myself.)
