i just love listening to her talk. the things she has to say, the things she leaves me to ponder. i can't wait till she comes back to toronto. the last few times she's been i was to nervous and scared to go because there aren't any muffins here in my city to make the trip to toronto and go to the concert with (i have social anxiety). but i'm getting better and i think next time i'm actually going to do it. i simply must see a show or i'll hate myself for constantly missing the opportunity.
@cagalli85 i've only been to one show - nyc, last february. it was kinda rushed because they were on a schedule and their bus broke down. so even though i was painfully lonely and scared (i have social anxiety too), freezing from waiting out in the cold (they were late), and nervous i was going to throw up (i get claustrophobic in crowds) it was one of my most memorable nights. i can't wait for the flag tour...and you really need to go too. i hope by the next time i have friends to go with!

Wow I actually have something kind of in common with her. I was home schooled all of my life, never went to school, as the schools around my area were pretty bad when it came to bullying, so my parents decided to teach me at home, unfortunately I'm also not great at maths, probably not stella with english, but I am alot better at it then I'll ever be with maths. She started acting so nervous when she was talking about her stay at the Asylum. Poor girl. I have a friend that was in a psyc ward/mental hospital long before I met her, and whenever the converstation somehow winds around to that topic, she gets the same way. And yet all these young EA fangirls consider themselves inmates in this Asylum, or try to pretend that they have some mental disorder (what's the PC term? I forget.) just to try to be 'real fans'.
I had no idea about the Asylum or that Emilie was in a mental hospital. I love you emilie, you are amazing and my role model <3 thank you for this interview!
I've been in two psych wards for the same reason as Emilie and believe me what goes on in there is absolutely inhumane. What do people hope to cure by locking people up like animals, trying to tell them what their own problems are, and belittling them as if they were mere fools. To become so successful after that, Emilie deserves an immense level of respect.
@SageRedgrave yes your right ive come to realize that im much better without any doctors treating me like im some guinea pig. all of the hospitalizations just made me more antisocial and depressed. i never had a doctor talk to me like a normal person inside every psych ward i have ever been in. they all just talked down to me like i wasnt important and or worth their time. i was also misdiagnosed and put on meds i didnt need that screwed up my brain and im still recovering from it to this day.
@SageRedgrave You've been in a Psych Ward? I feel for you, not out of pity but I respect you for your courage because from what I've read you seem sane to me. But may I ask whom put you in the Asylum? If I'm prying to much then it's alright.

But on what goes on in coherence with that, I can't judge. It's bitter that these things mostly stay behind closed curtains, and nobody in there administering appears to be entirely sure on what they're doing.

Aw, when she was talking about 'Liar' I was actually tearing up a bit...seeing how emotional she was, I mean. I've been a loyal plague rat for years now, and this interview just made me love EA even more. :)

I was at her concert in Stockholm hoping to see her a few moments after the show. Even though me and my friend were the last in the venue that could have seen her a sec we weren't allowed to.
Was really sad about this because as a mentally ill person I can't sit in the freezing cold for 8 hours outside a venue to get to talk to someone that is so much like me, (shockingly so). Because of her status I will never be looked upon as anything but a fan, where as in rl we would have been 2 of a kind
i actually would love to have her voice. not even talking about her singing voice, just how she talks seems very clear and you're able to tell it's a female voice without it being overly giddy and obnoxious.
@weakmindedidiot This is nowhere NEAR manic. She was fairly calm for this interview. though this is definitely a high in her bipolar ups and downs, she was just excited for her concert. She's an energetic person because, as a vegan, she eats very well.

If history were made by normal we would still be in the stone age. I listened to the interview and to the music that is made with here heart. We have a lot in common. She does not know me, and maybe surely never will. In another life maybe I will get to know here as a person. In this one I tried to contact here in 2005 and again now in 2010. It's no use, I am just to far and on the internet she thinks I am another fan or an eBay ass. Our picture of the world intagles in a similar way and we both learned threw life more then threw books.

I was at her concert in Stockholm hoping to see her a few moments after the show. Even though me and my friend were the last in the venue that could have seen her a sec we weren't allowed to.
Was really sad about this because as a mentally ill person I can't sit in the freezing cold for 8 hours outside a venue to get to talk to someone that is so much like me, (shockingly so). Because of her status I will never be looked upon as anything but a fan, where as in rl we would have been 2 of a kind

i actually would love to have her voice. not even talking about her singing voice, just how she talks seems very clear and you're able to tell it's a female voice without it being overly giddy and obnoxious.

I listened to the interview and to the music that is made with here heart. We have a lot in common. She does not know me, and maybe surely never will. In another life maybe I will get to know here as a person. In this one I tried to contact here in 2005 and again now in 2010. It's no use, I am just to far and on the internet she thinks I am another fan or an eBay ass. Our picture of the world intagles in a similar way and we both learned threw life more then threw books.
