  • lol ur a sickguy

  • thanx but what about L2 or L3 cache in processor????

  • I doubt it but can someone tell me if there is anything higher than a quad core?

  • now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, im, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, gonna, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, get, now now, now, now, now, now, now, now, somewhere, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, now, sometime...

  • I love you man! you have taught me so much

  • Lawlz U have a athlon 64 x2 4400++ and now its accient.

  • NERD

  • @neilio123123 why are you watching this?..... and he's not a nerd he's just smart

  • Lol I'm getting amd (8 CORE!!!) for my new computer 8150 model at 3.6 GHz :)

  • @mytac0sftw dont do that. -___-

  • @BForL1f3 why not?

  • @mytac0sftw cause it's GARBAGE either stick with the phenom 2 or go to ivy bridge cause bulldozer is garbage

  • No offence but yo dont know what your talking about. Speed and proformance is not based on ghz. I have a single core 2.2 ghz and i play MW3 with nobsystem lag. I also have a diffrent comp with a intel i7 6 core 6.0 ghz. Bam

  • @ForeignRapper It could also depends on the version of the CPU. An i3 V1 is vastly inferior to an i7 V2. Also for games like MW3 wouldn't that more go down to your GPU than CPU?

  • ram makes you be able to have more programs

  • @Spartins321 running on the same time :)

  • i have a quad core 1.4ghz cpu and I can play hardcore video games

  • Intel i7 Ultimate has 6 CORES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i dont know how i got to this video but i couldnt stop watching it

  • now show us how to build a quantum computer(joke) lol... but can ou show us how to build a super computer(not a joke)

  • Intel® Core i5-2500K Processor is the best prosessor for gaming.

  • @simidud Why not i7 2700? :P

  • @RealMatakeshi Its not better the a 2500k to run games. Only buy an i7 if you are gonna edit high quality videos, and 3D animations. (in high quality... higher then 1080p.)

  • @simidud so intel i5 is more than enough to use ADOBE CS5 master collection and all the latest games???and by the way does intel supports ati graphic cards???

  • @simidud an i7-2600k is better

  • 3 points to look out for, 5 fingers to make those 3 points...

  • Guys save your money and just get a REGULAR CPU chip. I got a new one on my old PC that had 2 Ghz and it was EXACTLY the same. Save your money guys!

  • 2 ghz for playing simpple game my laptop has i3 2.2 ghz sandy bridge and it plays the latest games quite smoothly im doin this to offend but thats a bit over the top

  • how much wood this cost for all parts that r decent plz reply

  • @jason23468 Look it up, and use decent grammar. "Decent" is completely different for each type of computer. "Decent" on a computer for music editing is "Complete Shit" for a computer meant for gaming.

  • 3.0 GHz ??????? just for big games and photos????????man you are kiding =))

just teach more than make another tutorial

  • Thumbs up if you have already built a PC but still watching this for fun.

  • lol 1337 comments and now its 1338 hehe :P

  • Pfft. You don't know what you're talking about. BF3 takes about 3ghz... Today average games would not take more than a 2.8-3ghz processor. "more than 3ghz to make photo editing" WHAT THE FUCK? I do better photos on my 11 years old Pentium 4 than you could ever do one on a today's i7.

  • @QW3RTYUU This video was made three years ago.

  • you look like Shia LaBeuof

  • Hah 1-2 ghz who has ever heard of that

  • when u say "over 3 ghz" duz that mean cpus like "3.2" and stuff? plz reply soon :)

  • @warraider100 if its over the 3 GHz mark then its a number above 3GHz example : Intel i5-2500k 3.3GHz

  • @qwrfg thnx man ;)

  • will i be able to run minecraft on 2-3 ghz?

  • @TheMinecraftAG

Im pretty sure you will be fine....

  • @TheMinecraftAG you will get like 80 FPS on a 8 by 8 texture pack 64 i would say 30

  • @TheMinecraftAG yes, and it depends on your graphics card as well

  • whats a socket

  • @WorldOfBlues omg

  • @marlowemxa sorry bill gates im now known for

    being a sensei of computerbuilding

just don't get what its for n where ya

    get it etc

  • @WorldOfBlues as i understand it was the nuber of Pins in the socket that he CPU fits in

  • @WorldOfBlues it is where the CPU goes in on the motherboard

  • @andylovesrock thanks!

  • the case and motherboard has to have the same socket ''sizes'' to be installed.

  • No top comment ? Britney Spears Likes Pickles.

  • i have a computer

  • That CPU is whimpy!!!!

How can you call that a mustang!!!!!

  • My Bro got a Eight-Core Processor. What you think about that?

  • @35Berrin I think AMD Bulldozer xD

  • @35Berrin nice

  • Respond to this video... nice

  • u fghjkop#

    jdmnksdfmnjkgnre

  • u fghjkop#

    [

  • learning alot thx man :)

  • 2008=quad core is awesome

    2011=quad core is nothing

  • @addeffects so whats awesome in 2011

  • @addeffects youd be suprised how many things are still dual core

  • @addeffects i'm still rockin a quad... lol but i might upgrade to hex...

  • @addeffects and it's more like:

    2008=quad core is beast

    2012=quad core is gud

  • I have a wimpy AMD Anthlon 2650e 1.6Ghz processor! Single core too!!!

  • its all about amd

  • i like U DUDE KEEP IT UPPP !

  • LOLL everybody have beast processor , personnaly i have a Intel Core i5-2500K Unlocked Processor - Quad Core, 6MB L3 Cache, 1MB L2 Cache, 3.30 GHz (3.70 GHz Max Turbo), Socket H2 (LGA11550)

  • I'm making an alienware PC Intel® Core™ i7-2600K (8MB Cache) Overclocked Turbo Boost to 4.1GHz

  • @SuperCommentingGuy

    LMAO Alienware, don't be retarded.

  • @SuperCommentingGuy thats not building a computer...that's buying a pre-assembled computer that you overpaid for

  • whrere do i find the parts of the computer

  • i have

AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1100T Black Edition 3.30GHz 3.30GHz Clock Speed

    - 4.0 GT/s System Bus - 3MB L2 Cache - 6MB L3 Cache- 64-Bit Technology

    - HyperTransport 3.0 Technology its a beast for gameing

  • i got a 3.20 GHz processor in my old computer and that thing runs shitty. i can barely play flash games. whenever i open up NOTEPAD, the processor precentage tops off at 100%. then i have my good computer right here that has about 2.70 GHz and this computer beats my other computer by a ton of miles. Windows XP on old one, Windows 7 on this one. huge difference. explain that. (btw both processors are single cores)

  • @1gamewin one might be old and under ddr3 and the other might be new ddr3 or over

  • My Laptop got an i7 with 8-cores @ 3.2 GHz Asus G73jh series

  • i have AMD Phen.. w8 a sec.. who the FUCK care?!

  • I have AMD Phenom II Hexa Core 1100t

  • dont you mean wimpy wimpy Hefty Hefty

  • i was on a site for comps just now and i saw a laptop with a 6 core CPU with 3.46 GHz. is it wrong that i just got a massive boner????

  • Comment removed

  • @MrPieeater1234 time to pack that up and buy one with a x8.

  • @Shadowlogic420 havent bought it yet :/ but still 3.46 GHz on a laptop?!?!?!?! das insane! Dear santa... :P

  • If you know, does Intel Core i7 990X work on the Dell XPS 17 3D?

  • Intel Core i7 Extreme edition. How many cores is it?

  • Gettin a 3,7 GHz SIX Core! for only $189.99! GONNA BE BEAST!

  • 3.1 GHZ... MASSIVE GAMING HERE I COME.

  • mac pro has 12 cores!!

  • @goodyeao dude so does pc lol this video is old and now pcs can have potentially 12 physical cores and 24 threads but it would crazy expensive ... but not as expensive as a mac :D

  • @TCWxEchoCubed lol ur right about the price!!

  • Cores = CPUception!

  • @OmegaMetroid93 i wass gonna say that

  • Is a hex-core worth buying? Or should I step down to quad?

  • @SkildEnough If it's AMD, go for it! They are cheap but do they're job well :) What will you use it for?

  • @dnbmania Gaming, internet browsing, and schoolwork!

  • @SkildEnough Quad core then I'd say, you'd be able to drop to a dual core and still wouldn't bottleneck that much. I'm getting a quad AMD for my build in two days. and I'll be using it for the same purposes you are.

  • @dnbmania Ok, and I heard there was core unlocking? How does that work, and is it possiblwe for this CPU?

  • @SkildEnough Hmm that only usually works on X2 and X3 AMD chips. I think it's rare for that to happen now. Basically they would 'lock' quad cores to sell them as dual cores when the demand was high. But now it's not so high it may be hard to find one :/ The X4 955 is amazing value, everyone says it so I'd go with that.

  • buld s damn it -___-

  • Not recommended that the processor should go below 3? Wtf? My i7 2820QM(8CPU @ 2.3Ghz) runs Arma II(Just exclude anything about video card since I have a HD6900) at full settings fine. Someone correct me here? Is it because he's talking about 1 cpu and mine is 8CPUx2.3Ghz?

  • Hes a ford guy thumbs up!

  • my cpu is 3.20 is that good or what

  • so we chose the CPU that goes into the motherboard before we pick the motherboard?

  • Amd ftw

  • keep in mind though that the more GHz your CPU delivers the more heat it generates so think about aftermarket fans it's will make your life easier

  • ok, ive finally decided to make a new computer... the tower ive decided upon weights in at 20 kg... without anything in it... i see problem?

  • Single core - wimpy

    Quad core - awesome

    Hexa core - badass

Deca core - like a BOSS

  • @sujmaster2000 deca core....10 sec later.....*overheating*.

    deca core....20 sec later....*on fire*

deca core...30 sec later.....*thinks about the wasted money* NOOO!

  • Mine is 2.7GHz but it has 4 of them lol and I can run lots of games simultaneously, since games do not need CPU that much! GPU and RAM - YES!

  • is Intel Core i5-2500K good? it has 3.3 ghz it comes with a kit tht rund about 570 im a noobie when it comes to building but i want to build one for my senior project. i would like to know if a kit is the way to go

  • @pandaland1 That's what CPU I'm getting, yeah it's supposedly just as good as some of the low to mid entry i7 processors. Also I've heard it's very overclockable if you plan on doing that. If you do then I'd recommend getting a better heatsink. And maybe I should do that for my senior project...hmmmm.

  • @mrcow94 sorry, whats overlockableand heatsink?

  • @pandaland1 Overclocking is when you just make your CPU faster than it's stock speeds. Think you can do it with certain programs. It does however make it run much hotter, running the risk of your CPU overheating. Now the heatsink is basically a fan that goes over top of the CPU to cool it by sucking the heat off of it (with thermal paste) and expelling it out of the case.

  • good job im getting a hexa core soon

  • lol ive been editing video's and photo's and playing games one 1.4 dual core processor lol

  • this is how sad i am i have 3 weeks left of school so i want to build a computer

  • i need to prepare for battlefield 3.... :D

  • Why build a computer when you can just buy one?

  • Comment removed

  • I have a Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4500 @ 2.30GHz.

  • this is real helpful for advice on my first build

  • I learned more about computers today than i ever did in computer class in 10 years.

  • I have A 9000 GHz, 2 million mb Terra bites, cash, 4 Times 256 = ??? , MPN: VSFV34242SDFSF3434253. HELL YES.

  • Okay, let me just say that you are giving out some misleading information in this video... Anyone who knows jack about computers is aware that GHz is not an accurate measure of speed, for example an Athlon II X4 @3.0GHz will not be as fast as a Phenom II X4 @3.0GHz because the Phenom II has significant improvements in the architecture. To get a good idea about these parts you need to either memorize which architectures are better or read trusted reviews on the parts you looking at.

  • @sileb13 hes trying to do it for beginners i know your trying to help but u need to stop hating

  • @ljamtheman7 That's not hating, that's hoping someone will read my comment and make a more informed decision about what they're purchasing and what kind of performance they can expect out of it.

If the guy in the video actually knows what he's talking about he should be giving people more accurate information or referring them to a trusted source.

If he doesn't know what he's talking about then he shouldn't be making the video.

  • @sileb13 i know but it came off as hate hes doing it for beginners ur more advanced

  • I know a guy who has a freacking sextuplet core... NOW THATS BEAST!

  • i have an amd athlon ii x2 220 2.8ghz.. :(

  • i have a Intel Core i7-980 3.33 GHz Six Cores 12M Intel Smart Cache LGA1366 :)

  • i just bought a 3.2 quad core phenom 840 will this be good for games?

  • @kcorb224 3.4 GHZ would be much better for gaming :) but 2.3 is better for smaller, less demanding games

  • dude , so i have a fuckin 8 year old AMD athlon 64 XP 2600+ with a 1.9ghz , don't ya think yours is outdated ?

  • i have an Intel Core i7-2600K Quad Core Processor

    3.4 GHz, 8 MB L3 Cache, 4x256 MB L2 Cache, Socket H2 LGA1155 - MPN: BX80623I72600K... BEASTAGE

  • @mastermaster4000 that is one beast CPU, how much was it?

  • Comment removed

  • @scottyupiner the cheapest i found was about 325.00 u.s. without tax or anything else

  • @mastermaster4000 omg. richass

  • @mastermaster4000 costs how much?

  • @mastermaster4000 Yeah great. Now fuck off. no ones cares. -.-

  • @ronaldli5 if you dont care, dont comment

  • @mastermaster4000 expensive though, im getting an amd saphire 3.6 GHz 9mb cache, pretty good and very cheap

  • @mastermaster4000 WOOAHH THAT IS AWESOME!!!

  • @mastermaster4000

That is nothing i have octocore

  • @mastermaster4000 Too me you say intl core ofkrijheua qiajd proc34csher o393uei rhjieoehisdheiurh eoiji cache eiaheihei socket H2idshie LGLGLGLGlkeojeio MUFFINwojei BEASTAGE

  • @mastermaster4000 You should add some Dragons and fire to that tale.

  • Mine AMD Athlon 64x2 2.10Ghz dual core

  • there is also a 6 core cpu and then your talking mind blown!

  • 6 Core wooo!!!

  • Something funny is my friend got a i7 intel $999.00 dollares lol and he was supposed to get an amd lol

  • lol my i7 had 8 cores.. :D

  • AMD Phenom ii X4 3.2GHz :)

  • if you think quad cores are good, battlefield 3 is supporting hexacore :P

  • Bucky looks so much better with a beard. =D

  • irreallivent , my birthday was when this was posted :D

  • This video is a few years old, so obviously the CPU requirements for many applications have increased. Still, what Bucky is saying in the vid is true: There are different levels of need - and that should be kept in mind when buying a CPU.

Thanks for the thorough set of videos, Bucky!

Also I'm glad to see that you treat the AMD/Intel war as it should be treated: For most users' needs, there are only some mild advantages & disadvantages between the two brands. both = good

  • what's a decent processor that has about 4 GHz

  • @CoDisafishy the only way a CPU is going to get 4GHz is with overclocking...but i would recommend a phenom X4 or an athlon x3, x4 depending on your budget.

    Intel wise , i would recommend a i3 or i5

  • @TheAnarchy4life okay thanks, would I be able to overclock a processor that has 2 GHz up to 3 or maybe even 4?

  • @CoDisafishy don't think so...maybe a 2.8 or something over 2.5ghz

BUT i'm sure that you could overclock a 3GHz to 5 or even 6 GHz WITH A GOOD FAN(COOLER)

-phenoms x4 970 and the x6 are very good and easy to overclock...

  • I like the fact that you prefer Intel but bought an AMD CPU xD

  • Who the fuck puts the Taurus in the same boat as a Mustang? Seriously dude.

  • I have a 3.20 GHZ comp Nvidia gforce graphics card, 2gb of ram, and 274gb of hardrive free. Yet I can't host a minecraft server without lag even when I am not the one playing on it and only the server window is open. Help?

  • @TheWarcraftPro Its not your computer its your network......

  • @TheWarcraftPro The biggest factor in running a minecraft server is RAM, so your going to want more than 2gb

of RAM. I run a small server that can have about 5-8 people without lag, with 4gb of RAM.

  • Just asking isn't the main thing about multi-cores cooling?

You can still beet a multi-core with a powerful single can;t you?

Isn't it just the cooling efficiency and possibly the price??

I'm a noob so correct me.

  • @BBQTeach Multi-cores may or may not requires more cooling depending on how much power they use and the amount of heat they give off. Yes to the second question (I actually saw a video from Intel about how having less cores that have better performance is better than more cores with less performance). I, personally, prefer powerful dual cores to anything else. Most powerful single cores can't compare to the dual cores of today.

  • ... I use a 1.4GHZ CPU for running a Minecraft server and playing on it, and I play on far/normal fog.

    LONG LIVE 12FPS!

  • @BBQTeach he go minecraft!

  • @BBQTeach minecraft is so difficult and challenging game for your cpu

  • @BBQTeach wow...thats a low ghz im running a 3.2 ghz processor

  • @BBQTeach WOOHOO!!!!

  • @BBQTeach sir, u made my day!!

  • @BBQTeach What's your RAM?
