I'll probably go with ineffectual IPCC & police corruption, dishonesty & homophobia since I have so much 1st hand experience & documentation on it.
We, the public want to believe that the police we entrust to act as guardians for our society are honest, trustworthy, act with integrity, impartiality & transparency of conduct....but the brutal facts are police are increasingly unaccountable for their internal criminality, prejudices & dishonesty.

"Who polices the police"...certainly NOT the lap dog poodle the IPCC or the sycophantic & appeasing police authorities.
Devon & Cornwall Constabulary refuse to accept/record complaint against DC JAGO & DC STONE, also Inspector C COAD of Helston & Asst. Chief Constable Sharon Taylor. Documentary evidence (police documentation) was produced on the tape which proves police perjury in Crown Court. This evidence is being dishonestly suppressed by Devon & Cornwall Constabulary along with other police corruption issues, police dishonesty, misconduct & police abuses.
IPCC refuse to investigate threatening & intimidating behaviour of DC STONE & DC JAGO who forced entry to our home without warrant by threatening my 78 yr old mother with my arrest if she did not do so. Despite FOUR witnesses including DCC IAG LGBT strand vice chair, police deny there is a DC JAGO & deny visit took place 6th June @2pm. Puropse of police visit to intimidate my pursuing six hours of gay victim video statement & documentation made against police on 12th Feb & 22nd Mrch 2010.
I wonder how much worse it will become before people get off their knees and say enough is enough. I was so angry following the murder of Jean Charles and now with the killing of Ian Tomlinson my blood is boiling.
The truth is that these cases are the tip of an iceberg, there is much more that gets covered up and unreported,
I have personally had two 'partial' IPCC cases (I won't use the word investigation)...IPCC ignored witnesses, ignored evidence, ignored law.
I was invited to give evidence to the Government Audit Office enquiry into the IPCC. Devon & Cornwall Police threatened 'in writing' prosecution unless I destroyed the evidence I was submitting. IPCC have ignored this.
IPCC is every bit as tarnished as the fore runner 'The Police Complaints Authority'
