@sofxdeadx you do you know jeff gordon owns jimmie johnson's car has a contract for life at hendrick's and is a partial owner hms and im pretty sure.if gordon wanted johnson gone he would probably be allowed to fire him
@KKFan9 what do you think hendrick would rather do, let gordon fire johnson just so rick can give him a new car, or fire gordon. Gordon can't do anything to johnson, as johnson is already a more skilled driver which is proven with 5 in a row. Gordon knows theres a chance that he'll get fired if he tries to fire jimmie, jimmie's given teh team an all new name and record.
@SoFxDeadx Go do some research fanboy, Gordon has a lifetime contract at Hendrick Motorsports, and is the car owner of jimmie's car. So he can practicaly do anything with jimmie.
@666unnamedfreak666 but you really think hendrick would let his best driver at the current time to be fired by jeff, i dont think so, and trust me, your more of a fanboy than me.
@SoFxDeadx I'm sorry to say, but Jimmie Johnson was the best driver after 36 races only twice. He was the best after 10 races 3 times. If it wasn't for the damn chase thing, Jeff would be a 6-time champion, and Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick would be champs. Jimmie's good, but you've been smoking crack if you think he's #1 at HMS. Jeff owns him, and he'll never fire Jimmie, but Jimmie's pushing his luck.
@nascarfanatic2425 jimmie should be pushinhis luck, as hes never been an aggresive driver and won 5 championships without being aggresive, and he should start bing aggresive and pushing his luck to show the other drivers that he wants another one
@SoFxDeadx Maybe so, but look where pushin' his luck's got him, he's only got 1 win this year- at Talladega, and while he may be 3rd in points, 6 points behind Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards, you gotta think that he'd be doing better than what he's been doing this year.
@nascarfanatic2425 obviously you've never noticed Hendrick Motorsports plan, which is why they are the best of the best. All the teams try different setups throughout the year on the chase tracks and then when ot comes to the chase, they all use thebest setup they got from that track if they want too. Why do you think al the hendrick cars are always said to use same setups in the chase and always do well in the chase. Plus, Jimmie is usually in 2nd-4th around this time of year
@SoFxDeadx Yes, but Jimmie would also normally have about 3-4 wins around this time of year, too. I am well aware of the HMS plan, 'cause it's the same every year, but I'm just saying that it might be in a little more favor of Jeff Gordon than it is Jimmie Johnson right now. Jimmie's being consistent, but Jeff's the one with two wins, not Jimmie. If the chase starts now, JImmie'd be all the way back in 6th in points, plus the crew's been off, so there's a show of choke in the #48 team.
@nascarfanatic2425 consistincey matters more than winning in the chase, if you think of winning the race/championships throughout the whole 10 races, you wont do well. If you think, i need to do the best i can this race, like chad and jimmie do every year, you get better consistency and better results. (ex. In teh world series, if your down 3-0, you need to think "we need to win and concentrate on this game to make it farther." and not "we need to win the ext 4 games." constant results do beter
@SoFxDeadx Yes, it is about consistency, but it's become harder and harder throughout the years in NASCAR to win a championship without having at least one victory, especially since a victory gives you by a wide range the most points in one race now. Jimmie's been one of the winningest drivers everytime he's won the championship, but he's not running as good as he used to. Jeff though, all that needs to happen is for him to win 2 races, and he's seed #1. Every last point counts now.
