@zackattack94 adler is my biggest influence im a metal musician and to me what makes a greta metal song is the great combo of gorrve and speed in a song
Chris Adlers blasts are how I feel the technique should be used. He does not over do it and when he does put it in the song it serves the song rather than blasting away on 98% of every song.
For me what makes him such a great drummer is he does not focus on speed. I have no problem playing at very fast speeds but to slow it down like Chris does is something I am working on and believe me it can be tricky. Laid to Rest intro is a good example of wtf lol

@uberjosh2323 its easy..Here : Crash(R), 3 x Snare(R,L,R), Splash(L), Splash/Ride(R), 2 x Snare (L,R), Splash (L), 2 x Snare (R,L), Splash/Ride (R), Snare (L) ..and thats it! =) for the other "similar" fill, just replace the splashes with toms..in the studio version he does it different..he does the following : The first fill in that section is just that one but with toms instead and the second fill is the one i have explained just there followed by : 4 x snare and then toms =) Hope this helps:)

Is it flam: R Rl R L R L, or double: R Ll R L R L....or is it a quick single stroke triplet: R rlr L R L? I know it's possibly all 3 depending on personal preference but I just can't get it to stick

The only things I don't like about his style of playing is that he Keeps everything straight. Like he never crosses his hands to do the gravity blasts. And when he uses the left side of his kit he uses his right hand to hit everything while using his left hand to hit the snare I feel that if you have things on the left side of your kit, use your left hand as the lead. Basically switch hands. I do it all the time, but I guess what ever gets the job done right?

Anybody else notice he starts bass patterns with his right foot and most hand patterns with his left hand? I swear, if there was some survey asking if he was right or left handed, he'd have to check the "both" box.

@onejordangerous i think he is left handed... he plays the bass drum with the right foot and he is using a right-handed drum kit too but he starts the hand patterns with his left and... i dont know... haha

@korny1992 He is left handed he has two high hats he does plays with his right foot also if you look at 0:20 his right hand is doing the faster notes on the high hat and snare(which is kinda strange) also in a vid he signs some stuff and its his left hand

@piggybank777 The second hat is more closed than the other hat for a different sound and a different place, notice how he uses his right hand on the hats all the time though? Just because he signs things with his left doesnt mean anything. My cousin writes with his left and does everything else with his right. At 0:20 he doesnt even play the hats. o.o

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT. if i wanted to see some faggot play some gay drum beat id go to a nickelback concert he showed absouletly no skill at all in this video hes a good drummer but i sat through this wanting to see him shred the drums and, of course all i saw was that. i dont see how you can play like that. i cant even touch an instrument without tearing it the fuck up

@FrowzzY i dont think so... there wouldnt be any possibility of tempo variation anymore, which makes a great part of a good live amosphere. hes just so damn tight, he is as close to perfection as you can get
