  • Where could I get the liquid emulsion and the scooper???

  • what size scoop coater are you using I ordered a 10in and it is not large enough to cover the whole screen with one pass like yours did?

  • so where can i get this liquid emulsion?

  • It's funny cause I bought some liquid emulsion + the emulsion remover for about 30 bucks. Totally worth it.

  • That is soooo cool. Thank you for sharing.

  • Thanks a lot for this generous and thoughtful video, I really appreciate this! Best Wishes to you!

  • I do what you, I do with my Yudu .

  • Does it have to be done in the dark?

  • Comment removed

  • I learned in college that liquid emulsion is 7238748122398 times better than the damn sheets.

Also, I'm convinced the Yudu isn't that great. (PS your studio/workshop looks awesome!)

  • Why you put it on both sides of the screen? this is needed to burn the image then?

  • Good Call. I just buy the actual yudu sheets though for dirt cheap from the ebay store "BCN".They sell the original yudu emulsion sheets for like $22 for a 10 pack with shipping already included! It's awesome and they work so well!

  • STORESdotEBAYdotCOM/BCN

  • Where can I get the liquid emulsion from?

  • DIY is awesome I love how people find out to beat the system

  • WOW!!!! That is amazing! I have to try it. The Emulsion film for the Yudu, does get expensive!!! Been having problems with the the film not drying, and when washing exposed image, the film tears apart!!!!

It cost $20 for 2 sheets and sometimes u cant find the film in store!

This helps out BIG TIME and will try it out! Thank u!!!!

  • I love it I seen a video on hacking it to use bigger screens. If anyone finds it please let me know!

  • Thanks very much for this video. Great idea. I bought some emulsion and spread it with a squeegee (I don't have a scoop coater yet). I burnt the image, but when I went to spray it out the rest of the emulsion began to come off as well. The emulsion had dried for 24 hours before I burnt the image.

Any thoughts? And is the exposure time the same on the YUDU with the liquid emulsion?

  • You are a GENIOUS!!! I did exactly did that I bought speedball emulsion kit at hobbylobby 29.00, you mix and keep in frig. wow!!! Awesome!!! simply genious!!! for White Ink I have to apply 3 coats on outside for thicker spread. but works great!!! thanks

  • i mean liquid emulsion... Please help

  • you can buy at hobby lobby, for 29 bucks. it's great you mix and apply w/ squeegee let dry in yudu dry rack for 20 min or so. make sure both sides are coated. have fun

  • do you know where i can buy this liquid emotion\? PLEASE help

  • wow looks very easy and inexpensive!!! thanks alot it's great to know people are kewl w/ sharing info. :)

  • how well does this technique work with the burning?

  • Hello, thanx for the info. I went and order me liquid emilson hope this one will save me money and work the same with emulsion sheet. I'm having a problem with yudu screen. How do i remove the ink from my screen. I have Yudu emulsion remover spray, it only remove the emulsion and i still have the ink stains on my screen. How do i remove the ink stain?

  • Is there a specific brand emulsion that can be recommended?

  • Is there a specific brand emulsion that can be recommended?

  • Where can I buy the liquid Emilson?

  • Hey big thanks for the vid. I'm part of the group that learns by viewing. These videos really help.

  • Gary, thanks for the info. Yes I do own a Yudu machine and yes I do have problems with the film so I'm going to try the liquid. Great job and this is very informative.

  • hi, i bought the liquid emulsion and the yudu didn't burn any image into the screen. i am using ulano qtx-do i need to have some kind of yellow light or am i using the wrong kind of emulsion?

  • You can skip all those steps of emulsion and save a TON of money by using vinyl sheets.... Yes, Vinyl.. the same material used to decal cars... It works very well with the YUDO and you don't have to spend a rediculous amount of money on the sheets and emulsion cleaners... You can spend $1.25 to make a print, instead of spending $10 for the emulsion sheets or buying the liquid emulsion that costs $22 a bottle..

  • so, how would using the vinyl work? Would you just cut it out? You wouldn't be burning the image in then would you? Isn't that the point of the YUDU is that it can burn an image for you. Thanks for your help for all us beginners!

  • how do you burn the image on the vinyl ? or you don't? and where do I buy the vinyl?

  • you don't burn any image.. if you can't find vinyl at your hardware store or office supply store, try using Contact Paper, and you can cut out your design by hand with an exacto knife in the places of the parts you want to print... then apply the sticky end to the screen frame and add the paint.. IT REALLY WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF MONEY and the prints are just as good as the whole expensive emulsion technique...

  • Does yudu allow you to.....

say make a pink bunny figure... i want it to be filled in color, then later add a face and possibly a white belly...

layered screening like that. can do?

  • what size scooper do i use for the yudu screen?

  • @702solidink size 16.

  • what kind of emulsion remover do you recommend? Where can I buy liquid emulsion?

  • i buy it at hobby lobby it works really good

  • thanx alot this video was very helpful. I am doing this

  • Also what type of emultion remover do you need, or do you still use the yudu brand

  • The emulsion remover Yudu sells will work. The kit comes with enough concentrated emulsion remover to mix a gallon. The emulsion in the kit is basically the same stuff as the capillary films, but a different brand and in liquid form. The scoop coater is just wide enough to cover the interior of the screen, but not so wide it drags on the edges.

  • Thank you for your video and response, very helpful

  • Quick question I have a yudu and my paints are jsut about all gone , Do I have to use there paints or can I use other paints from my local Printing company

  • You can go to any local craft store like for example a "jo ann fabrics" or what ever is in your neighborhood and buy screen printing ink... It doesn't matter if it a "YUDU" brand ink, as long as the ink you buy is specifically made for clothing, it works fine...

  • thanks rick :0)

  • you can get it in hobby lobby any paint works good

  • What size is that scoop coater

  • I just got one of these and this is great info. Thanks!!!

  • Hi! Thanks for making these videos and answering questions. I'm just a beginner trying to learn the art. Why do you apply emulsion on both sides of the screen? Can it be done with just one side coated so I can put it in the Yudu fan?

  • I don't see why you couldn't use the drying box either way. It's just very slow.

You coat both sides so you get an even and thick enough coat. When you apply the final coat, it basically pushes the emulsion through the screen, so it's mostly on the opposite side.

  • haha got it, yeah ive been messing with the yudu and got the multiple colors thing working with multiple screens of course but this scrap is getting expensive

  • thanks for teh response mate. im leaning towards getting this set to start something cool at home.but i need to researchs ome more about the pros and cons comparing to the real thing. how aboout changing teh bulbs?circuitry is there like any warranty of some sort.can you replace it on your own?also how this unit would fare for multiple colors like let say 4 color design..would the techniques applied on teh real screen printing machine works well on this baby? thanks

  • does it have the same quality or it has a specific thichness that needs to be used when doing it with yudu?because if the emulsion thats being used coming from yudu is just teh same as the regular emulsion screenprinters use then this is the way to go...have you tried exposing it?is it any different doing it with teh emulsion sheet they provide? thanks in advance

  • The capillary films are the same emulsion. The difference is that the emulsion is applied differently. Technically, capillary films are better, but it's overkill for this application. It's like watching Blueray disks on a B&W TV.

  • nice vid, how difficult is it to do multiple colors on a yudu? or is the yudu just meant for single color prints

  • If you are slick you can do multi-color, but it isn't really designed for it.
