This is actually called the split timeline theory, and is the only one that holds any credibility.

I suppose, though, the theory that each game is just the same legend retold differently is still plausible. But I'd go with the split timeline theory.

The pictograph and more advanced technology. Can be explained easily different world so they probably advanced differently considering at the time of MM it's far more unified between the races then hyrule was at the time of OOT. Tingle being born and crossing over at that point. There is no evidence to support this.

Boats.... the best way of above surface water travel that's available to pre-steam power world is a linking point between the two? I don't think Termina is a parallel universe, rather than another province that has progressed in technology faster or civilization in Termina or had came earlier than civilization in Hyrule. Hyrule how ever looks more of a medieval province, except Hyrule Castle is more of a Renascence era design. In WW, Hyrule was flooded, I am not sure if the catastrophe reached Termina as well, but my best guess is that Hyrule is separated from Termina.

Termina being another dimension is also way too vague, and I am trying to find another explanation for it thought... Besides, isnt Houldrom WW´s Termina?

Hey, I noticed that what I'm about to say should definitely be considered a reason to why Termina is a counter-parallel to Wind Waker. What does MM look like upside down? WW. Same symbols, just have to look at them in a different way. Kind of like with parallel dimensions. Case in point. ;)

If you remember correctly in OoT You teach a Skull Kid the Saria's song as a side quest. After you defeat the Majora's Mask the Skull Kid smell's you and clearly says "You smell like that boy who taught me that song in the woods". Which easily contradict's your theory on him crossing over dimensions or traveling through time since they both stayed the same age. Hyrule and Termina must just border each other on the opposing sides of the Lost Woods

Also, have you seen the connections that indicate that the Ancient Hero that teaches you the moves in Twilight Princess may very well be the Link from OOT/MM? Specifically following the MM Link though, because even the shield the Skull guy bears is similar to the Shield you obtain in MM.

Do you agree there is a split in the timeline and it makes most sense that Twilight Princess follows after Majora's Mask? I think the split in timeline due to the end of OoT strongly supports this theory of MM and WW being parallel. In Wind Waker, Ganon took over and the Hero never returned, and that is because the Hero was gone, "teleported" to Termina.

I also like how in TP, the Master Sword is still in the Temple of Time, untouched.. and thats because once Link was returned as a child, the Master Sword remained in the Temple of Time. However in Wind Waker, which follows the events of Adult Link's end, the sword is in a completely different place.

I myself am not certain of the connection between these two, as far as timeline goes- but all of these similarities between the two are clearly more than just coincidence. Now, they may have just that Nintendo based many of the factors in Windwaker after Majora, but this video may also be correct.

That being said, though the Bombers/Killer bees and Pirates may just be hints at the other game, Tingle's appearance in both worlds couldn't just be a hint- as he is the same character.

It`s easy, LINK from Oot went to TERMINA searching for navi but he got lost after his adventure and he became a stalfos, THEN in WIND WAKER there was no hero of time so link there is just a rencarnation, THEN it dies once again and in TWILIGHT PRINCESS there is another rencarnation and the stalfos who teach you new skills is the link from ocarina who got lost in the forest (THE LEGEND SAYS THAT IF YOU GET LOST IN LOST WOODS YOU WILL BECOME A STALFOS)
