  • is another term for these called up-downs? or is that something else

  • the best cardio workout has to be swimming do lengths at your local swimming pool

works great if you have acne like me it does help reduce the redness and it will also build muscle and reduce fat aslong as you eat healthy

    put it this way

what you eat you will have to burn off later

  • ooh this is difficult. i dint even try it...

  • Thanks for uploading this

  • hes hot :)

  • Lol, don't forget to breathe.

  • you are amazing Kyle.

  • BURPEES! Live for them!

  • Burpeees! Love em.

  • No need for the push up. Pushups should be done by themselves, with diamond pushups as well.

  • awww. this was not the thrust i'd hope he'd do.

  • during this exercise, when should i breathe in , and when should i breathe out? thanks!

  • wait are these fucking up-downs?! motherfucker i hate these

  • almost like the 8 count body builders we use in the navy

  • What's the difference between a "squat thrust" and a "burpee?" Anyone?

  • @absurdio simply add the jump as you come up..

  • Just do m100s. The best way to burn fat QUICKLY in your own home.

  • i swear these vids load slow i know 5 min vids that load faster

  • Your push up: your right elbow is further away from your body than your left. Either you have one longer arm, or one bigger pec :)

Royal Marines keep their elbows close to their sides in the down part of the pushup.

  • i swear these are burpees? squatrhusts are without the standing part.

  • @footyfarid19 they are burpees, just without the starjump at the end

  • i can make you laugth

    im a cowerd bear!

  • These are not burpees, these are squat thrusts. Although you don't technically have to do a push-up it is a nice addition. Burpees involve a jump at the end of the upward moving squat. If you like this, check out my suicide drills. . . ADAPTraining Channel

  • army WORK OUT!

  • this guy takes it in the butt without the pushup

  • Helpful info. Thanks.

  • Kind of like up downs???nice

  • Is this considered as an ab workout?

  • These are burpees...and there should be a 9-12" jump at the end.

  • These are brutal!!!

  • how many should you do a day?

  • WTF YOU HAVE TO BREATHE... that might be the reason why I pass out ever 2 O_O

  • can you use push up bars instead of the floor, also useing a 20 pound weighted vest

  • Hey we call these bodybuilders at my school.

  • @MrGuardado19 same here

  • He's doing them wrong..... your ment to stand up straight otherwise it can affect posture.

  • up downs!

  • i like jack squats.

  • Good god just do the freaking exercise. What do you want us to do right all of this down before doing the exercise. I am surprised he didnt mention that it works your core which it has nothing to do with the core. Freaking trainers who over talk the exercise and make it more technical than it really is. I have seen a trainer have a client do a standard dumbell upright row and he tells the client that he is working his core and other dumb stuff and dont even mention the prime movers.

  • theres another part where u take ur legs and put them out then in and then do the push up when u add some speacial words to go along with it: 1 2 3 4 I love the airforce it's called an airforce push up we do these in ROTC

  • Over a long-time period, what dose the push up help with?

  • @SvS703 aaann.. push things around ha

  • that's called a burpee..squat thrust is bringing your knees back and forward in a continuous motion

  • @musclemat bringing your knees in a continuous motion is called fucking

  • LOL!! HE'S RAPING THE FLOOR!

  • @ambnem Lmfao!

  • Isn't there a version where you also do a jump st the stand?

  • military memories are coming back....

  • "Make Sure YourBreathing"

    LOL

  • awwww, coward bear :3

  • Kyle - Isn't this a burpee?

  • @nocando1234

yes they are also known by that name.

  • i couldn't keep that up for more than a minute to save my life !!

  • if u add a jump in when u stand up it is one of the hardest things.

  • basically a Burpee

  • *burp

  • Get help cho lol!!

  • really want some cardio? do a squat thrust with a jump added in...tell me it doesnt make it rougher

  • 123jozef,

It's hard for people to figure out caloric expenditure during exercises due to the fact that you have to account for a couple of things, one being, intensity, exertion, and the time elapsed and even most gadgets aren't that precise, for example the body bugg is about 90% accurate and it's one of the most effective gadgets to use.

  • Why are you talking about that shit? Most people can't even do a fucking somersault. You're just going to get people hurt.

  • thanx! i forgot how to do this

  • I will be 12 pounds lighter in no time!SHOOT!lol

  • Thanks for posting. I was trying a workout from a magazine and could figure it out!

  • Great! I just saw this and I decided to try it ! :D I must say I'm in love with them! But I'm just a beginner, lol, have a look at my response, haha. Far way to go! So they are two types then with and without a push up. Okay..

  • you do 10 -12 reps. take a 15-45 second brake. Then keep doing it till u do it all 4 times. so in all u will do 40-46 of this. Make sure u take the brakes though.

  • How many (approximate) calories do you think would be burned in 10 minutes straight of full-speed squat thrusts?

  • deff take a couple breaks in that 10 mins at least 1 or 2, 1 min breaks

  • a set = 10-12 reps reps = how many times you did the excercise the motions.

  • yes

  • 10-12 reps in each set

  • I hated squat thrusts in gym class!!!!

  • BURPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • lol middle school flash backs

  • THANX 4 THE INFO HOMIE UR THE SHIT MAN

  • i used to do this for wrestling(y)

  • me too. called it tha bupree

  • Would these be effective cardio. How many sets and reps would constitute a good workout.

  • 4 sets of 10-12 reps I think

  • Thanks man.

  • Death by burpees

Four sets of this for time:

10 Burpee Box Jumps, 24" box

    10 DB Deadlift, 35# DB's

    10 Burpee Pull Ups

    10 DB Clean, 35# DB's

10 Burpee Side to side jump over obstacle

    10 DB Thrusters, 35 # DB's

Scale the weight and box height as needed to match your physical level.

  • If you are a god and these arent hard enough then ad a jump at the end. So as your coming back up to a standing position power up to a tuck jump. These really kill

  • ok gud vid, but iv'e just turned 15 im 5 foot 6 and a half and 10 stone 2. and i want to loose about a stone and basically have a nice toned body, i arnt exactly fat but i have a bit of fat on my stomach. I have muscle underneath my stomach just nedd to loose that layer of fat. when i breathe in my belly looks quite slim but i want that look just normally. so is ther any advice any1 could give for the best way 2 get wot i want. thnx plz reply

  • He shouldn't do push-ups with an open hand when doing such evasive movements. He could damage his wrist.

  • it be better with a girl laying on the floor, diggly diggiy....

  • Every time you got up I was thinking

"Ow!"... "Ow!"... "Ow!"... "OW!" My personal trainer made me do tons of burpees this morning and it hurt so much! T_T

  • how many should one do at a time?

  • Some people do countdown sets (10, rest, 9, rest, 8 rest etc...) some people try for sets of 10-12 until failure.

If you can keep up with sets of 10-12 of them, keep going till your gasped, thats what I usually do.

  • he's sexy

  • "hi im coward bear?" lol

  • @baggen1337 HAHAHAHA wow!

  • I finally tried these after years of hearing about them; they're excellent! Intense and fun!

  • man i tried this and almost broke my damn back... lmaoooooooooo

  • lol

  • This one kills me =P

  • GOD I HATE THESE!!! we do these in football practice as punishment we do the same except we jump with our arms in the air at the end as you come up

  • @jacobcagle really ;x i thought we're the only damned to do this exercise and we also do it with a jump like 80 times, after that we do push-ups, sit-ups and what not... |(

  • @jacobcagle that's called a Burpee

  • @kangoulius no, the burpee has the jump incorporated at the end. Minute difference, but difference non-the-less

  • @kangoulius well where im from in football we call it a "SQUAT THRUST"...douche. didnt know there was so many experts in excersizing on here.

  • @jacobcagle mate do you have to do these with the bum sticking up or body level, becaus ein circuits here in reaidng uk, most of the older people stick there bums up, hats a perfect squat thrust?

  • @abujameel2010 here where we live when we are in the push up position we get completely parallel..ive never really seen anyone do one like you described, but everyone is diffrent man.

  • @jacobcagle so its a burpee???

  • @dayze1111 yeah pretty much i guess.

  • Jst a fallow up question... How many times a week should I o this, and for how long?

    Thanks again

  • Certainly gets the heart going. Thanks.
