  • Great! Just Great!

  • That's me on the drums! :D :D :D

  • I love BF for participating in this but never lose sight of the fact that these school of rock places are churning out crappy bands at a pandemic like pace.

  • what bands are you talking about?

there's definitely some schools that do, without a doubt (mostly on the east coast I've noticed), but the portland branch has only a few bands that have come out and all of them have been really good.

  • Im pretty sure frank black participated cause he was getting paid.

and theyre kids. Kid bands always start out crappy, so that doesn't really mean anything

  • No, he wasn't getting paid at all; I can state that as a fact. He participated because he thought it was really cool that our school decided to do an entire tribute to the pixies.

  • Well im telling you in Some Way he was paid. I work with the workshops at the philly school so it works out in one way or another

  • The instructor of our pixies show contacted him directly (through facebook nonetheless). I'm pretty sure there was no payment made...

  • ...especially for the contacting of him to be so ridiculously unprofessional.

  • @walrus555 I had a conversation with Carl (I believe if you work for SOR you should know who this is) and Carl confirmed that no, Frank Black was not paid in any way.

Just thought I should inform you.

  • This was really cool of Frank to participate in this.

  • Max G., you completely and thoroughly rock!
