Pail, I loved your documentry and the Fontane sisters were great. I learned something today. One critique. You paused several times and did not get your point across quickly enough. That would cause some people to get bored and shut you down before they got interested. Personally, the subject was interesting and I did not dare shut you down. Thank you. JB2wheeler.
great account of a piece of history that should never be forgotten. you'd make a great host for shows like that. oh yeah, how GREAT u look in the white tux! === Climber!
Incredible Paul; I'm sure there is a generation out there right now with a few tears in their eyes, and thanking you for bringing back a little bit of youth for them.
it came thru this time, on my subscriptions, paul. i have no video on my computer but you look GREAT!!!!!!! THE PIANO LOOKS GREAT! congrats on this one!
Fantastic video, Paul. What a documentarian you've become. So dashing in your white tux. The piano and the music of the Fontane's was wonderful, they sounded like the Andrew Sisters.
Wow! What an incredible story Paul! Thank you so much for making this video! I remember the Fontane sisters so well. Just a fantastic video!!! Well done!
Wow! I hesitate to admit that I'm old enough to remember hearing the Fontane sisters on the radio, and seeing them with Perry Como during the infancy of tv.
That piano is a treasure. Protect it! I'm the proud owner of a 1904 Wurlitzer Studio Upright, originally owned by my Great Aunt, who played in theaters during the silent film era. She learned Ragtime from the masters, and she taught it to me while I sat on her lap as a child. Those memories are priceless. The piano is not replaceable.
Paul this video was worth waiting for. You look good enough to eat in that white dinner jacket. Amazing facts and I am featuring this on my channel and sharing with all my friends. Much love.. Dolores
Thanks, D, for sending this to me! Paul brought back some memories, though I wouldn't necessarily confirm his degree of edibility in the dinner jacket. But that's just MHO... :-)
The Fontanes were essentially a single voice in multiple bodies. That voice spoke in perfect harmony. I know of no-one today who can reproduce that perfection.
A lot of old music production styles were limited by the technology. We should thank our lucky stars that all of todays gimmicks weren't available then. This kind of music is so pure. Thanks for sharing. Nice cuckoo clock too. :-)
those figures at the end belonged to the fontanes mom i filmed that in the fontane house with the clock ticking it kinda touched me sorta like ol' time music is timeless .very happy you saw this it was a real honor the estate allowed me to do this.
Paul I have to tell you outdid yourself this time.. what a great tribute to The greatest girl group ever.. There was no one else who could have done more justice to them...
