This is the type of singing I listen to and find it HARDDDD to listen to booguyagga! Call me foreign minded, but I love to hear singing, not some...CRAP reggae! And yes me live and bawn a Jamaica.
Always love them, and Roger had so much talent, we got T-Pain running around now like he discovered this technique, Kids I swear! lol! Now that I've gotten that off my chest, I must say Sounds of Blackness never achieved the props they so greatly deserve, they're just awesome!!
i love sounds of blackness, they r 1 of my favorite groups, and ann nesby who sanggggggggggggggggg lead she is a bad ass singer damn, she was the reason they were so successful in my opinion, every song they did she sang was great, but optimistic is my favorite from them and she wasnt doin lead n i still love that song 2 this day.
The tube in his mouth is a respirator hooked up to a microprosessor that changes the sound of the wind that goes into the box and it conforms the voice into many different octaves and split the voice up into the sound that you are hearing.
you´re sooooooooo right ! I´m missing him too. I saw zapp in 2 concerts in Munich,- i will never forget, but where is now all the good music of the 80/90 ??

i love this song. There is a inspirational song that is on youtube titled The beginning "saved?" cd. Please leave a commit and let me know what u think God bless
This is awesome, live versions are always great to hear and see. They've added or altered the instrumentals and the vocals are melodies from heaven. Everytime I hear this song, it almost brings tears because its just such an encouraging song backed by an unforgettable tune, real mellow and uplifting. I could see myself singing this song in a choir at church, preaching it as it is. Thanks for the post. God Bless
My son that was not in the church at this time heard this song was, as they say "was that!!!", I also when I heard it bought the CD played it over and over again, love it sooooo much.
Just listening to this song right now just really helped me so much..From what I am going through in my life right now...I just see that everything is gonna be alright if I just hold on. Pray for me Ya'll. -Ty
This has been my theme song since the first day I heard it. And God was good enough to bless me to be in Rev. Jesse Jackson's PUSH Choir to lead this song, AND to be there when the Sounds of Blackness came to visit and ALLOWED me to sing the song with them!!
I love this song and this group. Thanks for posting this. Do you or anyone out there have their performance back at the apollo back in the late eighties or early 90's? If so please post it!
