  • This episode was a remake of an earlier Brian Clemens-scripted episode titled "Dressed to Kill" with Honor Blackman as Cathy Gale. A stranded railroad car on and abandoned spur at an abandoned station in a long-dead ghost town served as the device instead of the plane and the island.

  • Season 5, Episode 12: The Superlative Seven

    Original Air Date—5 April 1967

Steed is invited to a party on an aeroplane with six other people who include a matador, a cowboy and a circus strong man. As the pilotless , remote-controlled craft takes off, a voice announces that they are bound for a desert island where one of them will be revealed as a super-killer. Mrs. Peel has to work out how to get to her partner as the bodies start to pile up.

  • Indeed Donald Sutherland, Charlotte Rampling stars in this episode are famous actors, Am I right that the bald man is also the one in the old black and white Cybernaut episode,

  • A seat belt on a piano bench. Donald Sutherland before the movie Mash?

  • @IExposeMormonism This episode is from 1967 and MASH is from 1970.

  • The executioner is a very young Brian Blessed! Without a beard!

  • Brian Blessed is king. I wish there was more episodes of the two avengers on their own.

  • I thought I recognised him under the mask in the first segment; Brian Blessed was doing Z Cars at this time at the BBC. With his physique, he looks more qualified to be playing the strongman than the guy in the Tarzan kit and lemon longjohns, who looks a little like the Green Giant from, what was it, the Birdseye commercials.

  • one problem only, the altimeter reading is all over the place.

  • A VERY Young Brian Blessed too!

  • A turbo-prop with Lear jet sound! Only in the 60s!

  • @hasablad69 Class, elegance, nostalgia, with muscle car (or jet plane) power!!! We got nothing like that these days... =(

  • Charlotte Rampling, Brian Blessed and Donald Sutherland! Awesome.

  • Funny thing: taking off without glasses and bottles flying all over the place:-)

  • Is Donald Sutherland in this episode as the trainer?

  • It's nice for a change to see Brian Blessed in a role where he doesn't shout !

And he's without a beard too.
