Neil absolutely does not give a shit if anybody else likes his songs, that's how great songs like this come to fruition...how can you right a personal song with the audience in mind? How can you sing and play guitar if your consumed with what the audience thinks about you?
These are haunting lines in how unimaginable such scene would be in Toronto. They emphasize how striking this personal experience was, that the world seemed to be a completely different place, one with a profound sense of loss.
One morning thirty one years ago this song played in my head as I rode in the ambulance with my mom. It was hot morning in early July. She was worried that my sister wouldn't get to school on time. One day later she was gone.
2 dislikes...those people must have missed out on getting tickets :3

"Well, I'm up in T.O.
keepin' jive alive,
And out on the corner
it's half past five.
But the subways are empty
And so are the cafes."
These are haunting lines in how unimaginable such scene would be in Toronto. They emphasize how striking this personal experience was, that the world seemed to be a completely different place, one with a profound sense of loss.
