saw Rhymefest opening for a pretty good (but not great) local act about a month back. The main guy was just a turn table with loops, Rhymefest came in with a full band and just left him in the dust. Amazing artist not just rap but soul, funk, blues - and songs that are really well written instead of just a 15 second loop for 4 minutes and a dude shouting over it. Why the fuck isn't he famous yet?

Funny, Em blew up even though he admitted to getting killed hell not once but TWICE from Rhymefest and a 6 round overtime v.s. Juice - Go figure.
